I know that products don't last as long today as they did when I was younger, and it's sad that it's remarkable that this is working well after a year, but I wanted to note that. I waited to review it until I had used it for a while then forgot to post my review. It does appear to be backlit but it's not really bright, it's just more of an indicator that it's on and the numbers are dark grey. it's basic and works. Read more

The innoHaus AGS200 Digital Luxury Glass Body Scale is good looking. With a beautiful design and elegant glass surface, you won’t be embarrassed to leave the scale out in plain sight in your bathroom. The scale measures weight quickly and displays it on a large LCD display. It would have been nice to have a backlight for the display as it can be difficult to read in dim lighting. The innoHaus AGS200 is a digital scale—plain and simple. It won’t calculate BMI. It won’t send data to a smartphone. It won’t remember your previous weights or give you weight history or trends. Your weight is strictly displayed on the scale when you step on it. That’s it. However, this isn’t an entirely bad thing. This is a no hassle scale. There is no app to download and install. The batteries are included and pre-installed in the scale. Simply pull the battery tab out and the scale is ready to go. I was pleased about that as our “high tech” scale has to be lifted up and fresh batteries (not included with that scale) installed all too often. Besides the innoHaus AGS200 Digital Luxury Glass Body Scale is much less dorky looking. Frankly, although it is cool to see my weight from a year ago on my phone’s app, there is still something to be said for a simple, digital scale. After all, if you really want to track your weight, simply keep a pen and writing pad nearby. Read more

Very light weight, easy to use, pretty looking scale. This is so light, you can move it around your bathroom easily. You tap it with your foot and it turns on. You step on the scale and it is easy to see your weight. Batteries on my old one like this lasted years. It is do sleek and looks great. Read more

This is an elegant scale that you won't mind leaving out in your bathroom - it's a sturdy glass and it doesn't have a high profile, being close to the ground. The batteries are included, all you have to do is remove a plastic strip to have it start working, and I don't have a problem seeing the weight (in pounds, though you can change it, apparently), when I stand on it. The display is black against a light grey background, though. You need this in a hard surface for best results, and I had been to the doctor's the other day so I was surprised to see what seemed to be a pound or two off on the results. It did produce similar results when I tried it a couple of times on two different surfaces, so if it's off a little initially, it's staying 'steady' after that so at least I can track from a baseline. It's not going to keep track of your weight for you or different people, or calculate BMI. It's just going to show you the weight of the person or object on it - it's a simple scale that looks good. Don’t believe the Product Description for this innoHaus AGS200 Digital Luxury Glass Body Scale. The description says, “It’s [sic] blue back light provides you with easy-to-read… measurements.” That is not true, at least not on the Vine sample that I received to review. As best I can tell by reading the instructions and playing around with the unit and the included batteries, the LCD is NOT backlit. In my opinion, this boneheaded design choice creates a major problem for users who may have older, imperfect eyes. The LCD is large enough, but the digits contrast very little with the gray background under dim lighting conditions, which makes them virtually invisible. Without shining a flashlight on the display, I couldn’t read it in my normal standing posture—and my eyes aren’t THAT bad. A backlit display would have been so easy to incorporate. But the lack of one deterred me from further testing this scale to judge its accuracy and other features. If you have any problems distinguishing low-contrast items in dim light, you’d be well advised to avoid this scale in favor of one of the many others out there with backlit displays. Caveat emptor!
