The Homture digital photo frame is a cool, shareable digital photo display. Setup was easy - I just downloaded the app and had photos uploaded from my phone in just a few minutes. My wife and I share the login so she's able to upload photos as well so we both have control over the content. The frame itself stands either in landscape or portrait mode ... our photos are a mix of the two formats but we just keep the frame in landscape mode even though portrait oriented photos obviously don't fill the frame. We have not tried the AI feature yet, it's just not something we're overly interest in. The frame package we received has 'credits' for the AI feature, and after that there is a charge to add motion to photos via the AI function on the app. I'm not sure of the costs for that so cannot really speak to whether that's a good value for the money, and I cannot review the AI integration for photos. The overall photo quality is great, images appear clear, bright, and crisp, and the frame blends well with our decor. The one function that's missing - and what would bump my review to a full 5 stars - is the ability to let other people add photos. As far as I can tell, adding photos requires the app, an account, and thereby having full access to the frame's contents for editing purposes. Ideally I could let someone scan a QR code for the purpose of uploading photos as opposed to having to go through all the steps of downloading the app, registering an account, etc. This feature would make the frame more giftable as well - I could buy one for my parents, and then use the limited access code to upload photos of the grandkids and then let my parents edit the frame's contents. Otherwise, this digital frame is a nice upgrade to our old one that required an SD card (which meant we pretty much never updated the photos since most are on our phones now). The price may turn some people off, and I suspect the price has more to do with the AI function which I'm not using. Read more
