Amazed by this tech! AI detection feature was accurate and thorough. Camera quality for pictures and videos are good, audio recording is very clear as well (i.e., doesn't like you're underwater). Upon opening the designated app (download by scanning QR code), you will get detailed explanation on each button/functionality of the glasses. App was very user-friendly and it was easy to pair the device too. Not as bulky as I expected for glasses that have all the features promised, which was a nice suprise. Loved the matte finish as well. Overall, worth your $! Read more

I really wanted to like these glasses, but I can't get past the fit. They are a nice black color, lightweight, but very large and uncomfortable to wear. The bridge pinches your nose and I can't see a way to adjust that piece. The sides of the glasses are quite thick as well. In the package, you get clear lenses to switch out with the sunglass type lenses, a cleaning cloth, a usb charger, a usb-c charger and a case. There is an instruction manual and an app to download to accompany the features of these glasses. The app didn't work on the first download, so I did it again and then restarted my phone and it worked. Once I was able to do that, the instructions were clear in how to use the glasses. Overall, they do a pretty good job of video recording and picture taking, but only from the app, since the button on the glasses was not responsive for this feature. The music played well, but again, I could not get the button to skip songs or adjust the volume. This had to be done from the phone. The sound clarity was good for both music and phone calls. I did not get a chance to test out the translation feature, but with how everything else works, I'm sure it will be consistent in it's delivery. Overall, if they fit you, then great, these glasses are a solid choice for smart glasses, but if you have a broad face, they may not feel comfortable. Read more

These smart glasses pair with a smartphone using the HeyCyan app, which uses OpenAI's chat LLM to analyze photos and provide answers to voice questions. The challenge is that sometimes the AI assistant will take photos unexpectedly when asking a question. For example, in response to a wrong answer that it gave, I said "That's not right" and the glasses automatically took a photo using the camera on the frame. I didn't expect it to take a photo at that time, and it could be disturbing or inappropriate to take photos when you're not expecting a photo. The basic matte black of the glasses is simple but can show face oil on the finish easily. The glasses fit snugly and securely but press against the bridge of my nose and lower forehead quite tightly, which may be good or bad depending on your personal fit preference. This is where I notice the most face oils being transferred to the frames of the glasses because it's constantly in contact with my face. It's fairly comfortable though and not too tight for a slightly larger / wider than average head. The frames are very thick too, so it's quite obvious that you're wearing smart glasses. They're not sleek nor will they fool anyone that they're anything other than special glasses with a camera inside. The lenses can be popped out, so you can change from sunglasses to regular clear lenses. It's a bit difficult to pop the lenses back in, but it's possible to change if you don't want to use these as sunglasses. There's a special proprietary charging port on the back of one of the glasses arms behind the ear. You'll need to keep the special charging cable in order to charge these. The function is mostly controlled by two buttons on top of the left and right frames. The right side controls photo and video recording. The left side controls voice recording and AI assistant functions (or just say "Hey Cyan") to trigger the voice assistant. The camera angle points too far upward for my taste. When holding something in my hands and looking straight at it, the object appears at the very bottom of the photo or video frame. I expected it to be more centered in the frame, so I get too much headroom when taking photos and video. The camera colors are also a bit weird: red is orangish. Skin tones are a bit greenish. Don't buy these if you want accurate colors. The camera video recording shows a lot of jello effect with its rolling shutter, so if you move side to side turning your head, the video image will be skewed. Fast moving objects that move horizontally across the frame will also be skewed diagonally. Transferring photos, videos, and voice recordings from the glasses to your phone requires the HeyCyan app and on an iPhone, it requires you to tap a button to connect to the smart glasses Wi-Fi hotspot, which means that it doesn't happen automatically in the background. It would have been a nicer design if the smart glasses would sync automatically to your phone photo library. The AI assistant also doesn't remember the last thing you said or asked, so if you try to ask a follow-up question it's like it's starting all over again. It's a bit annoying especially if it didn't get the request right the first time. You'll have to repeat the entire question and also add clarification the second time around. Overall it's an interesting pair of smart glasses and gives you the ability to record your POV photos and video. It might be great for training and teaching or creating videos of what you're doing.
