Very easy and effective way to prevent your espresso machine from getting coffee remains build up in the brewing area. Keeps things nice and clean. Fits perfectly! If you overfill the portafilter the paper filter will stick to the brewing head, but you can easily remove it. Read more
A good-quality espresso paper filter, such as those by Cafelat, Sibarist, or Kruve, is generally around 0.20–0.25 mm thick per sheet. These less expensive ones are much thinner. The stack of 100 Aieve filters measures 1.2 cm, or 0.12 mm per sheet. So I use two of them in my espresso machine. Previously, I used the Brinkinte brand here on Amazon, and they were only 0.10 mm thick, so I used 3 of those. So the Aieve are a little more expensive, but thicker, so I use fewer of them. So, definitely worth it. Pretty much the same product otherwise. Read more
There's a warning on the item page that the sizes for baskets are going to be different than these. They weren't kidding. I have three different 51mm baskets and they are all slightly different. On is perfectly sized, the one at home is slightly smaller than 51mm and another is also slightly off. However, the size being off doesn't seem to change how well they work or the flavor at all. main purpose to use the filter is to reduce the compound that may elevate LDL. The group head is much cleaner by using the paper filter. However, the size is not precise, it is a little bit smaller than actual portafilter, coffee grounds can still escape from the side. Read more
Fit for my Casa Brews 51mm ports filter is spot on. Top or bottom. Only the slightest negative flavor on the paper, but not enough to effect brew. Ordering again! Read more
There was not anything that I disliked about the use of this paper filter. It is cut to the exact size of your portafilter. Use put it in your portafilter after preparing and tamping the puck. This will not only prevent grounds accumulating on the group head, it helps distribute water flow evenly and prevent channeling, giving a notable better tasting extraction. You can't go wrong with this if you are a daily espresso drinker. Basically keeps your group head clean and maintenance free and aids in water flow distristribuion for better tasting espresso extraction. I'll be definitely restocking when I get low. Read more
I've gotten filter papers from three other sources and these seem as good as any of the others I've used and the price seemed very fair considering I didn't need an additional container. 400 filters arrived in a small 2-1/4" square box containing four sealed packages of 100. First thing I did was to hold one up to the light and compare: pulp formation, surface textures, color & absorption. I haven't gotten around to comparing taste as I have with the offerings of natural and bleach papers for Hario filters. Read more
Love these. Use on top and bottom of puck. (Only fits in bottom of non pressurized double basket, but better flow through puck) Use a metal puck screen above top paper for most even distribution and super easy cleanup of puck screen. Tap puck screen onto a towel before dumping puck along with with papers. Read more
