Sort version - these are the best shorts I ever got, simple as that. Long version - I'm 5'5'' and 210lbs, and my fitness activities are weightlifting and recreational rugby. I'm short and thick and it's difficult to find gym shorts which can accommodate this. The size chart is accurate - my thighs are 28 inches, my waist is 37 inches, so that should put me in XL. I ordered this and the chart was right, this fits perfectly. The waist holds on without feeling tight or constricting. The length and cut are excellent. Lengthwise these aren't itty-bitty short shorts, but they also do stop several inches above my knees. So it's still "modest" and decent, but it does actually show off the shape of my leg. Regarding the cut, a lot of others shorts are designed as hideous leg-rectangles, but these are cut to resemble the contours of an actual human leg. When I bend and stretch and move, the shorts fit and move comfortably - and there is NOT an bunch of extra fabric bunching up at the bottom. These are really well-cut. The fabric is incredibly soft and light. I utterly hate polyester shorts that make swishy noises, but this fabric is smooth and soft and silent. It feels light and comfortable. And there's pockets! Which because of the fabric, can actually hold things without popping out! I really like this garment, and I think these are the comfiest and most fashionable gym shorts that I myself have ever worn. I got these for around the house in the summer (it gets pretty hot). I don't like hems rubbing the skin on my upper leg, so went with a 3" inseam. I was pretty concerned about things poking out, but I figured these are used by lots of guys, so likely should be fine. They are! The way the polyester is cut, there's a good closure along the leg, with no problems. And yet, it's loose enough not to "cling." I can understand that others wouldn't like running in these, as there isn't any internal support -- sort of like very short pajamas, but with slightly heavier fabric -- still very light, though. I'm 5'8" and about 185lb, over 60 with an older man belly. Hips are 39", waist about 40". I went with the Medium, and it's very good! There's enough play in the elastic waistband that they don't fall down. I don't need the drawstring, and although some say it's very thick and interfering, I don't find that at all. It's long enough to be useful, but not so long that it swings all over or catches on kitchen cabinet knobs. There's no fly, so it's a "pull down the waist" operation, or even "lift up the leg" event. Fine! These are for comfort and mostly just being on my own, minding my own business. I don't use the pockets, but they're decent if you're maybe in a gym. I'll get some more, but I think I'll try the Large size next time. The Medium isn't tight at all, and quite comfortable, but I'll try the larger size just to see. The price is right, so why not? Don't worry about the short inseam -- you can use any posture you normally use, and still keep your modesty. :-) Great product! Read more

These running shorts are really comfortable and lightweight. The mesh material dries fast and works well for workouts or runs. The fit is good and the pockets are useful, though I wish they were a bit deeper. They’re definitely breathable and easy to move in. Overall, solid shorts for the gym — just a couple small tweaks would make them perfect. Read more

I am a 5’2” 115lb woman and these fit pretty well. I ordered a XS. Material is nice, cool, and feels comfortable. The pockets are deep - actually functional! The main thing that won me over was the size of the leg holes. They weren’t too big/baggy and not too tight/snug. I like to wear them at home or casually, but I’ve worn them to the gym a few times. I also like to roll the waistband down once since I don’t like my pants sitting too high. I would say these sit mid-rise for women. Note - the lighter color is slightly see-through, so I normally wear compressions underneath. Read more

I never write reviews but these shorts are the best so I had to write one. I’ve worked out my entire life and these are my FAVORITE shorts ever. The mesh is comfortable and breathable, and the pockets are perfect size for your phone while you workout. I literally bought three more pairs today because I love them so much. Read more

I’m 5’8” and today’s typical mesh or athletic shorts look almost like high water trousers on me. I was looking to replace some old early 2000’s big name shorts with a shorter inseam to no avail. I found these and ordered a few just to try and they are AWESOME! Have been durable, machine wash & tumble dry well, and holding up great (been wearing for 6-8 weeks now). They are not so short that they look like Daisy Dukes, and they cover everything well…plus they are so comfortable for outdoor walks, treadmill, elliptical, and even my rowing machine without bunching and binding. Also, they are great for around the house, mowing the yard, etc. I loved the first few pair SO much that I was afraid they may sell out or quit making them and ordered duplicates of those AND 8-10 more in different colors to have at this price point! My friend saw them and tried on a pair of mine and ordered some as well, as we both hate the baggy & saggy look for working out or regular activity! Highly recommend! Read more

They’re OK. They fit OK I mean you got an older large than you would wear. They are stretchy, but they’re cotton and the other ones that I did a review Read more
