This is a physically small unit that seems to offer excellent coverage of 1235 sf. It is small enough to sit on a countertop or shelf, yet the surface area of the intake and filter is significant. The filter is half the height and the entire circumference - it's a commendable design concept compared to the bulkier rectangular boxes I use for the same amount of coverage. And the unit itself is attractive - check out the top. Set to automatically sense the air cleaning room need, it is incredibly quiet. Practically unnoticeable. On high, it can be heard of course, but not an issue at all. I am using it to boost the air-cleaning of our main floor, where our dog spends the most time. Despite other larger filters in the open areas, the addition of this filter seems to make a difference. It's portability is also nice as I can easily move it to a room where my allergy sufferers in the house might be hanging out at any given time. If you like a night-light, this works well for that too. It has a few colored light settings, as well as no light except for the on/off switch. I don't need the light myself, but mention it as a nice feature. The aromatherapy feature is a plus as well - again, I'm not a fragrance person and so didn't try it. As for eliminating odors, we've been having seafood meals the past several days, and the smells have not lingered. It does actually sit in our kitchen/dining area unless I move it for a purpose, so it must be working. I wonder if that's counter-productive if you are wanting to use aromatherapy ... The filter itself is easy to change. Turn the unit upside down and open the bottom door with a twist. Like most air filters, it alerts you when the filter is due for replacement - 2000 hours of operation. I haven't seen the filters for sale yet though - not sure what the cost will be. I love this machine! It's such a good quality, and it is such a good assistant for anyone with allergies! There are different than speeds, and if you must replace the filter it's super simple. It does what it's supposed to do, and it keeps my air fresh. I'd say it functions the way it says it does. It's long lasting and it'll be a while before you need a filter replacement, so enjoy. Its really hard to say how well air purifiers/HEPA filters work without your own lab, but this one seems to be good for dust and pet dander at least. The carbon filter layer is next to nothing, if there is even any carbon in it - see the image - most of the air that passes through isn't even going to contact that part of the filter. The open voids between the fibers are just too large. I wouldn't recommend it for smoke, odor, or VOC removal for that reason (hence the 4 star rating). The paper filter seems good enough to catch particulates, although the pleats aren't as dense as my other inexpensive small room filter from a local department store. The array of functions - timer, sleep, auto fan speed, and LED color are nice features that you'd ordinarily pay more for. I haven't tried the little aroma pad. I'm sure it works fine just by the flow of air around it, but there is no way for air to actually pass through it. I'm going to move it to my daughter's room in the next couple of weeks, where I'm sure she'll test it with some essential oil. If you want a HEPA filter for dust or pet dander, this one seems nice for the price, but like I said, if you want real carbon filtration you might want to look for something with a better carbon filter, most likely at a higher price. I really wanted to love this air purifier. But, I don't love it exactly. It's okay, I guess? I like that it's small and doesn't have a very large footprint. It's easy to use and the controls and instructions are simple and easy to understand. It is esthetically playing to the eye. I've not noticed much difference in my air quality. I have it set to auto, but it barely runs. And I know the air quality in my home is crap because of my inhalation allergies. I also found it to be louder than I care for at the medium and high settings. Perhaps, I'm just more sensitive due to the severity of my allergies. I ordered this for my home office, as I spend a lot of my time in there. I like this one because it is compact and pretty sleek looking. It is pretty quiet on the lowest setting, but you will hear the mechanical humming on the highest setting. It is pretty light weight and sits perfectly on top of my bookshelf. The touchscreen buttons work great and add to the sleek look. It’s difficult to comment on how well it cleans without having equipment to test it with. A couple bonus features are the aroma pocket for using essential oils or fragrances, as well as the night light which changes color to add to the vibe of the room at night. For the price, I think it’s a pretty decent value. Read more

I am not impressed by this air filter and I do not believe that it works well. I have used it for a couple weeks in an area that easily collects dust and the filter looks brand new. I have owned higher quality air filters in the past that will detect bad air quality when it’s near rubbing alcohol, candle smoke, and if someone passes gas. I tested all three in this and the system says the air is clean. So if you have this on auto, it won’t do much if it can’t even detect the air quality correctly. I like using the fan on high when I need noise cancelling in my room while I am sleeping. If you are trying to watch tv, the noise level is fine unless you put it on high. I will say it is easy to use, but there is no point if it doesn’t purify the room which is what it’s intended for. Read more
