Overall, great product. I love Alarm Setting 2, which lights up the moon globe about 10 minutes before the alarm goes off. Once the moon globe is lit, the light alone wakes me up even before the alarm, and I would close my eyes and snooze a bit until the alarm goes off. I really enjoy being woken up by light as opposed to by sound now. To use the alarm, there are a number of different sounds, including birds, waves, thunderstorm and some music tones. Most of these build in alarm sounds are not in high quality but could get by. What I also love about the clock was that there are four displaying modes for the time digits: bright, medium, dim, and no display. I had the time displaying at dim for a few nights, but it kept waking me up in the middle of the night. I got upset and almost wanted to throw this clock away but then I found out the fourth option: no display of the time digits. Basically, you keep clicking the button that adjusts the level of the brightness for the time digits, and right after the dim level, the next option is no display. So, in the last few nights, I still had this moon clock on my night stand, adjusted to no display of the time at night, got really good and full night sleep, and woke up to the lit-up moon globe. My sleep on work days has never been this smooth and full. The clock is not battery powered, so it needs to be plugged in to work as an alarm. However, even if you unplug it during the day and the device is turned off completely, it does not affect the time in the clock. After you plug it back in and turn it on again, the time shows exactly the right time of that moment. Although the design is quite cute, the light brown shell which is the body of this clock is indeed made of plastic instead of some solid or woody material. Cons: Time keeps changing on its own, its hard to set a Alarm, it goes from 12hr format to 24hr format.
