I was inspired to find a new robe when I saw the description of one recommended by the NYT. At three times the price of this one, it was too big an expense, so I bought and tried on half a dozen robes from Amazon. There were several nice options from Alexander Del Rossa, but this was my favorite. It’s thick, plush, and warm, yet doesn’t make me feel sweaty. It’s large, yet lightweight. And it’s LONG. Finally! A long robe for women that doesn’t stop just below the knee! Granted, I did buy the largest size they have to get a little more length, but at 5’9”, this is down to my ankles and meets the top of my slipper booties. This road is literally the best thing ever, I purchased a cozy hooded robe last year for myself and paid her on the same price however the quality was nowhere near the quality of this one. Fortunately for me I've lost a hundred plus pounds over the course of the past year so I had to replace my robe. I purchased that beautiful dark purple color and it is so thick and so cozy. I put this thing on in the morning and in the evening, it's my favorite thing to walk around in. I'm really torn about this robe because I absolutely love some of the features of this robe, but dislike others. The deep purple color is stunning and its cloud-like softness is like a warm hug. However, the sizing and shape aren't quite right for me. I'm 5'5" and curvy in all the right places, so I ordered a size up as suggested, but it still flares open too much at the knees when I sit, which makes it drafty...No thank you! If it had a little bit of stretch to it, then it might stay closed. The material is high quality and perfect for snuggling outside while watching the sunrise. It's the perfect weight! It's not too heavy that you're sweating, but not too light that you're cold. Even though I prefer the angled pockets, I really like how deep the pockets are and the tie length, but the robe is a bit longer than I would prefer, although I'm not tripping over it. I just wish it would stay closed better! I don’t wear it very often because of the awkward closure, and I kind of regret not returning it. This is a super soft, extra thick, full length robe that my wife LOVES! The quality is top tier, seams are well sewn with no gaps or loose threads to be found. It is full ankle length for my wife.
