This will fit your Alienware Area 51 18” perfectly. Lots of storage space. Looks great and seems to be of good quality. The style is very unique but if you own and Alienware Area 51 you’re probably unique. Read more

I recently bought the Alienware Area-51 AA18250 18" laptop and was looking around for a backpack to hold that monster. I thought I had found a good one when I saw someone else had asked about it on a forum board I found and someone had responded to ask him why he was "cheap-ing" out on a quality laptop to buy a sub-quality backpack. With that thought in mind, I bought this backpack. It is extremely well crafted with heavy duty zippers; however, around the top arc of the zipper it gets a little difficult to zip as the zipper tape is rotated outward. You have to grab and turn it back inside to get the zipper to engage across the top of the arc. I haven't had the chance to load out yet as I've just had to back surgeries and this backpack was to get from point A to B without risking dropping it, but it does appear to have quite a bit of storage space. Given the size of the laptop, it would have been nice if Dell could have sold a model that could also turn into a roller bag. I do have one minor complaint about it. This backpack, I believe, was actually designed for the first 18" version that Dell built where the ports were located on the side of the laptop rather than the back. I have a very low profile USB dongle for my mouse (very anti-touchpad) and it snagged the inside of the pocket on the way in. Once it was in, I became so frustrated in trying to get it back out that I came extremely close to just grabbing my knife and cutting it out. Overall, it's a pretty great bag and as much as I'm excited about my new 18" laptop it makes me wonder where we are going to draw the line on how much weight we are going to tolerate on our backs. I love that backpack - it looks cool, is very spacious, and has plenty of room for my Alienware M17, keyboard, cable, headphones, and more, unlike the travel backpacks I used to have. It feels much lighter and very convenient to carry due to its nice design. Read more
