I really really adore this corset! The suede is so highly quality and looks more expensive than it actually is. It adds such a great rustic/rugged look to my Ren Fest costumes and is so much more natural/earthy than the satin ones you normally find. It’s extremely durable- this has become my go to corset and I’ve probably worn it 20+ times and it still looks brand- despite wearing a belt with a rough inside texture and pulling this as tight as it can go it shows no wear, pulling, and virtually no wrinkling. And, yes, I do have to tighten it the point that it is overlapping somewhat in the back and can take it on and off without unlacing it. I am slender (5’2”, 24” waist, slim hips, and a very small chest and ribcage) so this is probably about an 1-2 inches too big for me but I can make it work and it’s nice enough and works so well with my costumes that I am perfectly fine with it being a bit too big. You really can’t tell it is too big unless you look at how the back overlaps- I wear it over multiple skirts with thicker waist bands and some are pulled up higher to create layers so having that hip area be a bit big isn’t really a problem because of those layers. In most corsets I’m an xs and a lot of the other satin ones require less tightening in size small so I will say this probably does run a tad bit bigger than the size chart says. But the laces are really sturdy and thick so it will stay as tight as you want even if you dance for hours and wear multiple times without lacing it in between wears. It’s just super comfortable, I can move and dance and even wear it for a long car ride (2 hours in the car with it is about my max before I feel uncomfortable). I’ve worn this for hours at a time will dancing and it is just so comfortable. The suede is super soft to the touch too! I like it so much I bought two extras so I will have it for many many many years just in case they stop making it. Considering the original still looks perfect buying two more might have been overkill but I have terrible luck with not being able to find my favorite things to repurchase! I 100% recommend- you will not regret it! And I do honestly think this would provide more of a sucking/tightening effect than the satin corsets on Amazon for anyone who fits in it a bit better than me. I was pleasantly surprised, when I bought this. The sizing is accurate. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but the the quality exceeded my expectations. The corset is made of excellent materials. It has a satin finish. It can be a little difficult to fasten, however, it is easy to tighten. I had to fasten it first. The design is simple and clean. I purchased the black. It's a utilitarian, fashion piece. It would make a nice addition to anyone's wardrobe. It doesn't look cheap. I plan on wearing it with a simple, white, poet's style shirt and slacks/skirt. It makes a nice piece of lingerie. Since it is an underbust corset, you don't have to take it off. If your self conscious about stretch marks or have a belly, this is perfect for concealing those little imperfections around the tummy area. It's very sexy, but offers complete coverage. It creates a flattering hour-glass shape. It comes with a matching thong. The thong isn't the best quality and runs large, but it serves it purpose. The black is very dominant looking. I plan on buying it in another color. I'm not sure how well it would hold up for daily wear or waist training, however, it appears to be well made. As far as a costume piece, you won't be disappointed. It doesn't look cheap, and it would make a fine addition to any costume. This would be perfect for a period piece. I bought the purple, and the color is amazing! It's really more of a fuchsia, instead of purple. Yet, I did notice the material was not the same as the black. this corset is pretty nice. it’s not steel boned, it seems to be plastic, so it gives easier and if you’re overweight and have a lot of extra pudge, it doesn’t really give you the typical hourglass shape like a steel boned one would. i have a steel boned corset as well and they don’t give the same shape. the fabric is really nice and soft, the fabric it’s laced up with seems weak but we’ll see with time, and all around the corset is comfortable. i think the sizes run a little large, which as a bigger girl, i’m happy with. to give reference, i bought an x5 and i weigh 300 lbs, i’m 5’6 and i wear a size 20/22 US. according to my measurements i should have bought a size x6 but i read that they run larger so i bought a size down and i’m very pleased. the thong fits as well, though i probably won’t wear it because of the way it looks on me. but it’s still comfy! the only complaint i could possibly have is the fact that it’s not steel boned, but i already expected it wouldn’t be (it’s probably in the description of the product too, i just haven’t checked.) all in all, a good set for the cost! would be perfect for dressing up for your partner (or yourself!) wearing in a costume, or just wearing out like normal. you could probably waist train with it to but i’d suggest a steel boned one for that. This corset was perfect! It fit beautifully and was exactly what I needed for my outfit. The satin fabric looks high-quality and feels comfortable, even after wearing it for a long time. It gives a really flattering shape without feeling too tight or stiff. I was honestly surprised by how soft and wearable it was — most corsets aren’t this comfy! It looks gorgeous in person, too.
