Maybe a new favorite!
This sunscreen seems to be great! I purchased the Blue sport 3 pack lotion, spray, and stick. I use all 3 methods for swimming with my kids. Soo about this brand - It’s rated a 2 with EWG, the lower on the scale the better. A 2 is about as good as your going to get with a sunscreen that fits a budget. It wasn’t “cheap” nor was it “expensive” it’s somewhere in the middle for us. but I do like it has calendula - superior for skin damage and is a healing property I actually use a calendula salve I make for after sun care weather we burn or not. On to the next part of the review! The lotion - seems a bit thick at first and a little dime size is going to go along way. I apply lotion with a dollar store make up brush to cover areas like under the eyes and ears with out smearing it in hair and eyes. It rubs in well, it doesn’t feel sticky and tacky. Could have been a bigger bottle, I guess I’ll just have to re-order more often. The spray - sprays uniformly but I feel a spray and go won’t work it would require a bit of rubbing it in. I do this anyways with any type of spray and a spray is usually the last resort for us handy to have when they want to get back to fun in a hurry. The stick - it glides on nice and shows white until rubbed in. It doesn’t pull the skin trying to wipe it on. It does come off with washing in a bath unlike some other brands we used previously did not - Atleast not easily. I like sunscreen when we are in the sun but once we are done I’d like to wash the day away. I like that It doesn’t stay white once rubbed in it rubs in clear and invisible. It’s nice for the older kids who sunscreen themselves it’s an easy application for them. Lastly - this is a nice size stick!!! There’s a lot here. It’s not a tiny tube. I liked that as well! I don’t know about how long this lasts for coverage. Anytime my kids towel dry and they are in full sun they are made to reapply, and at every safety break they reapply. So every 2 hours at maximum they are reapplying the sun screen. They did not have burnt faces nor did they have redness or irritation under the eyes from the stick and lotion. I loved that as well. They didn’t have chalky skin from swimming either, you know the “chlorine dry skin” it looked moisturized and nice after a bath. Hopefully a new favorite - sunscreen is so so hard to shop for! Atleast here. I’ve probably wasted hundreds on sun screen. Read more
