Went to try it on and it ripped down the middle seam (front) and it started stretching on the back seam after I took it off. I got an XL according to the size chart, and I like my skirts a little bit looser but I still can’t believe this ripped on not even the first use. I like the fact that it comes with its own belt, which elevates the look; however, the fabric is very thin. I had anticipated a kind of tweed material, which is thick. Now this is on me because nowhere in the description did it indicate that the material was a thick tweed which is made from wool, and I didn't truly think it was tweed, but I did expect it to be thicker. I have doubts as to how durable it will be over time. In conclusion, while being thin, the material is not see-through, but it doesn't keep a tummy flat and nor does it prevent pantylines or bugles showing. The media could not be loaded. I love the style of this skirt and the fit is perfect, but the quality is lacking. The fabric, although it feels soft and comfortable against the skin, is thin and unlined. I haven't washed it yet, but I anticipate the fabric will pill. I steamed it before I modeled it and the fibers stuck to the steamer. I love vintage clothing and this fits in with my wardrobe, I just don't know if it is going to hold up to repetitive wear as the fabric tensile strength is low. It should have been constructed of a thicker fabric. I took off 2 stars because the size guide is completely off, and this is a huge mistake for the seller and for potential buyers because there will be a lot of returns and no one will be happy. As someone that is from the US but lived in the UK for 8 years, not only is the conversion between US/UK listed incorrectly, but also the sizes are completely inaccurate. I am between a small and medium, or rather between a US size 6 and 8 (UK size 10 and 12). I went with a medium, but I should have gone large. Moreover, the skirt is unlined, and I don't think it will survive many washes. Read more
