Almay Concealer Acne Face Makeup with Salicylic Acid and Aloe Face Makeup with Skincare Ingredients Matte Finish Oil

I used to use Bare Minerals pressed concealer but started to feel like it didn’t work as well as it used to to cover up my problem spots. I didn’t want to spend a ton so I looked on Amazon and saw that this had amazing reviews. Well, I love the concealer and think it works at least as well as Bare Minerals, if not better! And for the price, you can’t beat that. It’s light weight but still gives good coverage and blends really easily. For reference, I’m pretty pale (my foundation color is called “Fresh Alabaster”) and the Light color was perfect. Even if the color is a little off it’s super easy to blend it in. This is a very good product. I occasionally suffer from pretty bad breakouts and this concealer does a great job of covering them up and making them far less noticeable. I’m not the biggest fan of makeup and prefer to use as little as possible to cover up my acne. The applicator is great, it lets you apply the product to the areas you need it before rubbing it in with your hands. I have pale skin and the light color blends in perfectly. I also have sensitive skin and this concealer has never caused a reaction or made my skin dry out. It covers well, especially the redness, and does help the zits dry out during the day while it’s on. I usually put Almay clear complexion makeup over it and I’ve never had a problem with the two reacting to each other. I'm 52 years old and got big painful pimples that developed to really bad acne. Never had it before in my life, as a teenager I had a pimple here and there on my nose and forehead. Getting this condition this late in life is surprising, but I know it's due to hormonal changes and what I have figured out is that I need to be religious in cleaning my face. Every morning and night and during the day I have a Eucalyptus based natural product from Tate's that is antibacterial and another aloe vera based product also from Tate's that's exfoliating and healing. Those are not enough to fight this evil acne so I went online and found this product after reading tons of reviews on multiple products. It worked wonder right from the beginning and I have not had any allergic reactions to it (I have also developed very sensitive skin with my age). When it looks like my skin is clearing up I feel like I'm healed and slowing down with my religious procedure...and sure enough those inflamed pimples is showing up agin... Overall this is a nice concealer for covering blemishes. The consistency isn’t too thick or thin and after applying it, it’s very easy to pat down to blend. I noticed at the end of the day my breakouts healing a lot faster. My skin is very sensitive and reactive and this concealer didn’t bother it at all. I’m also a fan of the applicator being a wand. My reason for 4 stars is because it’s a little to yellow for my cool skin tone. Read more

This is the only concealer I use consistently! I try different brands here and there but I always find that Almay's Clear Complexion Concealer is the perfect combination of pigmentation, coverage and long-lasting effect. I have used popular concealers from Smashbox, Benefit, Mac and Clinique as well as drugstore brands like Physicians Formula and Rimmel and found that none could hide my blemishes in combination with my makeup regimen! I have combination oily skin, and although this concealer is not necessarily mattifying, when combined with matte primers (I use Too Faced) and a setting spray (I use Urban Decay) it really helps control my shine throughout the whole day. The concealer also has a blemish fighting component that I do believe helps treat and prevent acne. I think one of the ways it achieves this is that it doesn't clog your pores! Although it has quite a thick consistency, it doesn't feel weighty on your skin. I have used this concealer my whole life. It is the BEST for oily skin that is prone to acne. The salycic acid in it does not hurt the skin and helps with all the above. It is full coverage, so I use this instead of any foundation. It is waterproof, creamy, easy to spread, and blends great! I top it off with some powder and that sits easily. It is tough to find in stores, especially for the medium 300 (my skin is tan) so I love being able to get it online. I will ALWAYS use this! Read more
