I'm one of those people that don't stay within one brand of beauty products. If I find something I like & that works, I buy it. That's how it goes with Almay Smart Shade Skintone Matching Concealer. It literally changes to match my skintone. This isn't the first time I've bought this, but it's the first time I've been given an opportunity to rave about the product. I was skeptical at first. I have VERY light skintone. I was diagnosed with melanoma (skin cancer) in 1998 & was told if I'd waited 6 more months, I'd have been fighting for my life. So, I try to stay out of the sun, therefore the pale skin. Almay Smart Shade doesn't hesitate. It gets right to work, matching my skintone & covering up blemishes. And it does a darn good job! I realized that I had been having an allergy to eye make up (swollen eyelid, itchy eyes) for years until I decided to switch to all Almay products since they are hypoallergenic. I had become so used to eye allergies that I could not believe the difference. This concealer is a little lighter in coverage than I would prefer, but honestly, lighter coverage looks more natural. I mainly use this under my eyes but have used to coverup acne as well. Very happy to say that this does not seem to clog my pores because if it did, I’d ditch it in a heartbeat. Read more
I tint my lips with it, it holds well but they must have changed the formula, it used to be more durable…i could put it on and drink and no need to touch up for hours. I like using it instead of lipstick cause it is not visible like a lipstick and looks just like you have nothing on your lips but they are pale. I am SO happy I found this concealer. I use the light, which is almost white when applied, but it quickly blends with my skin. I also have a tube of Medium 030, which I use when my skin gets a little darker in the summertime, but I almost always use the Light, and it is wonderful. It's a cinch to apply, blends easily, and covers my dark spots, age spots, red spots, whatever spots. I liked it so much that I get it now as a Subscribe and Save item. Read more
