Almay has hit it out of the park with this makeup base. At 75 I do not want to look “made up”, it is all about being natural in your golden years. The color match is so surprising when applied, you look at this white stuff on your face, and then as you blend it into your skin, the magic happens. It is so easy to use. I have tried it with a primer and without, but find no need for the primer because it works so well on its own. The formula is very lightweight but still gives you the natural coverage and look. The size of the tube leaves you wondering how long it will lasts but trust me, a little goes a long way and it lasts a good month for me. I'm extremely picky about my foundation. I've used the same one for years, but thought I would give this one a shot after seeing a few demos. The first one I bought was way too brownish yellowy, and I was super disappointed. The second one "My Best Light" was a much better experience. Coverage is decent, color match is great and even though I have spotty skin and imperfections, I didn't need to use a lot for good blending and coverage. It does burn slightly after first putting it on. . .not sure what that's about. I will be interested to see how long this tube lasts. Funny enough, the foundation I have used for years is also 1 oz - in a bottle it looks like a lot, and it does last quite awhile. These tubes are also 1 oz, and I have seen reviews where people are talking about how little the tubes are and not enough foundation. It's the same as what you get in a decent sized bottle! LOL (the bottles just make it look like more - facts matter!). One other thing worth noting: this seems to make my pores more prominent. I am going to give it a few tries, but that's how it appears to me, which I am not crazy about. Maybe better preparation with moisturizer will help with that, I don't know. But I am going to give this a one week, honest try and see if I like it better than the foundation I have been using. At this point, I am most impressed with the color match of "My Best Light". If you go to the Almay website, they only have three shades of the color match foundation (on Amazon, there are many more). This was exactly what I was looking for in a color changing foundation. I ordered the LIGHT shade. The product comes out in a bright white color, but blends beautifully using my fingertips. The shade is a light neutral color on me. I don’t have many spots on my face that need covering but my skin tone is uneven, so my skin looks really nice with this foundation. I apply a powder blush then a light dusting of loose powder to set it. Then do my eye make up. My skin looks good for the day. I’ve had no breakouts with this product and I have sensitive skin. I’ve tried JA spray foundation, and what a mess that turned out to be. I’ll always stick with a cream or liquid foundation.
