The jacket fits well and is well ventilated. My only complaint is that the red stripes faded REALLY fast. I bought it in October, didn’t wear it all winter, until around May. So in around 4-5 months the red faded to a pink/salmon/orange color. Just looks bad… Read more

Some folks say it runs small, some folks say it runs big. I usually wear an XL when it comes to jackets, after reading most of the reviews, I decided to go with the XXL. The fit is fine, it's a bit bulky in some areas and the sleeves are longer than I would like but its a decent fit, could be better though. I do have to adjust the elbow pads each time I put the jacket on since they sit around my forearms but they seem to stay in place while I'm riding. The looser fit is more noticeable in the summer when I'm usually only wearing t-shirt under the jacket, but its been a nicer, more snug fit in the colder months when I'm wearing a hoodie or sweater underneath. Luckily I haven't had a need for the protective padding yet but I'm confident in it's ability to provide some protection in an unfortunate situation. Overall I would recommend this jacket, just maybe try one on first to save on some shipping and return costs! Read more

Fit around the torso is a little snug which a lot of other reviews said so I went one size up. The padding is great but you do need to buy padding for the back area. While wearing this, I got hit while sitting at a stop light and only area on my body that got damaged was my shoulder blade since there was nothing to protect it. Sizing was not accurate for Small (based on the Alpinestars size chart.) The textile material looks good from a safety perspective (looks like it would hold up well/decent on a slide) but the bottom of the jacket does not have a "tie down" strap to hold the jacket down like to a belt or belt loop, so the jacket will move up on the back when you're not standing up, and expose the bottom half of the back. The safety ratings say it's meant for low speed impact so be careful if you're actually going to ride highway speeds and up. My Alpinestars boots are good quality but I don't think the same for this jacket, which doesn't even include a back protector. I think this model is discontinued, but even if it wasn't I don't recommend it. Overpriced for the lack of quality expected from the well known brand. Read more
