This product gives me not only a nice close shave and moisture it travels extremely well not like a messy pressurized can. Altitude changes don’t effect it. It is the best of both worlds and the price is right. I do wish it came in larger size as on long trip I carry two. Read more

Tonight I went to shave and realized I was out of my favorite shave cream. It’s pricey, but has always given me a great shave. I remembered I had a tube of this Amazon Basics 2-in-1 Shave Cream under the bathroom sink, so I figured I’d use it tonight and order some more of the pricey stuff later. With low expectations set, I squeezed out a bit in my palm. Then I took a bit on the fingers of my right hand and started massaging it into my wet face. My first thought was, “this doesn’t lather as good as my regular shave cream”. My second thought was, “this feels almost like a lotion… with lather”. At first I was annoyed that the cheap backup wasn’t going to cut it and then I remembered one of the primary missions of shave cream is to soften the beard so your blade can shave better. Decided there was only one way to find out of this was going to be ok, so I waited a minute for the beard to soften like I always do and then applied razor to face… Not sure how to convey how soft it made my beard, but the razor seemed to glide over my skin, while still obviously catching the hairs on my face. This was an amazing shaving experience and left my face smooth and soft. Adios pricey shave cream! You’ve served me well for a lot of years buddy, but you just got beat on price AND performance. I bought two tubes to try out as a men's shaving cream. It's been an interesting experience! The product comes out of the tube looking and feeling like women's cold cream. It spreads pretty easily on the face and it doesn't take much product to cover the usual area. As you shave, you can tell that a fairly thick greasy layer remains on your skin. The good thing about this is that it remains even after you rinse and protects your skin from drying out during the day. The bad thing is that you don't get a really close shave, so if you normally have a 5 o'clock shadow, you are now going to have a 4 o'clock shadow. The really funny thing is what happens to the product that your razor scrapes up. With normal canned shave cream, the foam stays on the razor until you rinse it off. With this product, the foam is much heavier and more slippery, so it tends to fall off onto your body or your bathroom counter. If your razor hand is moving really fast, blobs can go flying anywhere! This would be a good product for women to shave their legs in the shower, although I'd be concerned about the floor getting slippery. It would also be good for men who live in dry climates where their facial skin gets dry during the day. Read more

A small amount of this shave cream is all you need. It has a satisfying feel on your face and my shaves have never been closer. One small disadvantage is that your shaver will feel very slippery in your hand if you don't rinse off the cream before you start shaving. Read more
