The media could not be loaded. A Power Source of Biblical Proportions for My Blaster Listen up, fellow citizens of the Empire! I just got these Amazon Basics CR1632 batteries, and let me tell you, they’re a blessing from the Maker himself and not the evil dark lord Emperor. The power quality is definitely a step up from the typical Imperial trash droid that putters around the Death Star with all the energy of a sleepy Hutt. Meaning, they’re leaps and bounds better than your average imperial trash droid power cells (those things couldn’t keep a protocol droid powered through a single prayer meeting) Now, are they as superior as that zippy little Resistance soccer ball, BB-8? Let’s not get crazy. But they have just enough righteous juice to bring a classic astromech like R2-D2 up and running for a proper trench run, and that’s what counts. I’m recommending these to all my Star Wars universe friends and family, from my squadmates in the 501st to my cousin who runs a moisture farm on the Outer Rim. I personally needed to purchase them for the Holosun sight on my standard-issue Imperial blaster. As a man of faith, I put a lot of trust in prayer to guide my shots, but let's be honest, as a stormtrooper, my aim needs all the help it can get, and we all know how that goesand a brighter reticle might finally help me hit something besides the wall. The Force helps those who help themselves... with decent batteries.. Honestly, I need to grab a few more packs to give out to my bunk mates so I can make sure to survive our next incursion and to ensure my Holosun optic is in inspection order for my Imperial blaster during roll call. My aim and their aim all could use divine intervention… because, as a stormtrooper, we all know hitting the target isn’t exactly my spiritual gift. These little power cells are the answer to a prayer I didn't even know I had. Q&A from around the galaxy: Question: Will these batteries help me find the droids I'm looking for? Answer: These are not the droids you are looking for. They are, however, the long-lasting batteries you are looking for to power the scanner that will help you find the droids. The actual finding part is on you and your squad. No pressure. Question: Are these powerful enough to recharge a lightsaber in a pinch? Answer: Negative, trooper. Attempting to recharge a Jedi weapon with a coin cell battery is not only against Imperial protocol but is also the quickest way to find yourself explaining to Lord Vader why your hand is now missing. Stick to powering your targeting systems. Q: Will these batteries work in my droid? A: Yes — as long as your droid isn’t powered by the dark side or running on expired Death Star cafeteria leftovers. Q: Can these improve a stormtrooper’s aim? A: Let’s just say… with enough prayer and a CR1632 or two, miracles happen — though your results may vary Q: Will these power my son’s Kylo Ren lightsaber hilt that makes sounds? A: Only if it is but a hollow imitation for cosplay. These are for data chips and sights, young apprentice. A true lightsaber is powered by a Kyber crystal, not something you find in a four-pack on Amazon. Q: My Death Star superlaser control panel is flickering. Will these work? A: Technically, yes, a CR1632 might fit a console switch. But if your battle station’s main weapon is on the fritz, I feel like you have significantly larger, moon-sized problems to address. Maybe focus on those exhaust ports first. Read more

Ah yes, the Amazon Basics CR1632 Lithium Coin Cell Battery — the battery that looks small enough to be snackable but powerful enough to keep your car key fob alive just long enough to not completely ruin your day. Let’s be honest: no one wants to buy coin cell batteries. You don’t wake up one morning and say, “You know what I need in my life? A 4-pack of extremely specific, fingernail-breaking, tiny electrical pancakes.” But then your key fob dies, your bathroom scale throws a tantrum, or your LED tea lights give up on life — and suddenly, these little suckers are the MVPs. Amazon claims they’re “long-lasting.” Sure. I guess in coin battery terms that means “longer than your patience, but shorter than your ability to remember where you stored the spares.” To their credit, they do work. You pop one in, and boom — your car unlocks again like you're some kind of wizard. They even come in a 4-pack, which is nice, because one will go in the device, one will get lost in the junk drawer, and the other two will vanish into a pocket dimension the moment you open the package. And hey — no mercury! Which is a big win in 2025, considering mercury hasn’t been invited to the battery party since the 90s. But sure, go ahead and brag about it, Amazon. In conclusion: They’re small, round, shiny, and functional — basically the coins of the tech world, except instead of buying coffee, they buy functionality. Not exciting, but absolutely necessary. Like dental floss or taxes. Read more
