This garment seems to be multipurposed and sturdy in every respect. The zippers are of a better quality than other products on this type. The fact that it folds over to halve its length is a big plus. My only complaint is that when it was delivered the cardboard box in which a sturdy plastic bag containing the product had burst open. It wasn't appropriately packaged in the cardboard. The bag was totally undamaged but in a wet environment may have been. The instructions included are all diagrammatic completely without verbiage. The build quality is surprising when the price is considered. The weight on the polyester fabric is substantial without being bulky or stiff and the zippers are sturdy. Inside, there are straps near the top and bottom to keep items flat and a strap across the center to ensure they fold neatly and evenly when the bag is folded. Additionally, there are plenty of zippered pouches inside and out for other items. The only negative for me is the lack of hanger loops inside for those additional two coats, but I think I can work around that minor limitation. For our recent 18-day road trip, we put four coats inside and there was room for two more. If thinner items were hung, more items could have been placed inside. We didn't use any of the other spaces in the bag because we used it for just our coats and put the rest of our clothes in suitcases, but this could definitely work as the only piece of luggage for a weekend trip. I have now used this a couple of times. I take my rolling suitcase, my briefcase, and would like tot take a garment bag that I can hang in the closet of the airplane. I hate checking bags and bought this so I could take a few garments without creasing on flights with me. I often need suits in Europe and over New Year's went to an event that need black tie for me and my wife. In both cases, the garments came out fine. I asked the flight attendants to hang the bag on the way to Europe. They did it without a problem, in part because I am the highest-tier elite flyer on their airline, but it seemed bulky and took up a lot of room. I'm sure that on some airlines, they would require me to check the bag. I took a domestic carrier on the way to the NY Eve gala and there were no closets. Again I am the highest tier flyer on that airline and board first and they did not protest (in either direction) but I think there are times when another airline might. So, it works well. No wrinkles. Easy to work with. But, It is too bulky and heavy for the use I intend. Read more
Very impressed with this bag: quality much better than I expected for this price. Quite a bit of space as well. We went for a road trip for hubby’s business, packed 6 shirts for 5 days. I wanted a garmet bag that was broad enough for suits as a big guy. This fits the shoulder on my size 50 jacket, and is slim enough to carry on. The bag is laid out well, and is not bulky at all. It has nice handles and a strap, and a padded bar for the folded clothes, two tie downs, and the pockets close over the clothes all in a good way to keep the clothing flat and as wrinkle free as possible. Wife and I were going on a cruise, and we were trying to pack our formal wear when we discovered that my suit bag couldn't contain her evening gown. Quick, to Amazon to see what's there. This bag came with high marks, and the cruise was four days away. It was worth a shot. The gown and my suit fit perfectly with room for shirts and slacks! Even shoes and toiletry kit fit nicely.
