I sorted through dozens of reviews on numerous drafting stools in my price range before going with the cheapest. The stool itself is top notch. Stable, easy to assemble (it took me seconds), comfortable, and the seat raises itself pretty much as high as I need it to go. This stool is the perfect stool. It's so perfect I am leaving a review, and I barely ever leave reviews. I'm nicking a star because it arrived in a mangled box. I was fortunate that the screws all fell to the bottom, away from the 1 inch hole in the package, and I didn't lose any in transport.
