I bought this laptop backpack because I have been spending 3 days of my week in Coffee Shoppe’s while my husband is working. He doesn’t work well at home so each day I have been packing up a cloth grocery bag with snacks, bottled water, my laptop, my kindle ect and going with him to spend the day in different coffee shops around my city. Lugging all my stuff around on the bus in a cloth grocery back was so difficult and I had been looking for a good back pack that wasn’t too expensive, but still good quality and that had plenty of room for all the stuff I need and bring with me. After searching for a while and seeing that even normal Jansport backpacks that aren’t designed to carry laptops were $50 or more I was getting discouraged until I came across this Gem! This Bag carries 2 large laptops with a special area for both, has a holder for my water bottle, several individual pockets for things like my keys, medications, and snacks. It has a built in wallet type area that will fit cell phones, pens, pencils, small notebooks. Plus 2 or 3 outer pockets on the bag itself for smaller items. One of my biggest worries when looking to buy was that the laptop would be slamming against my back while I wore it. But this bag has plenty of cushioning between the back and where the laptop is stored. This bag would work for Students in place of a laptop case, or could easily be used for hikers or campers. It is versatile and has cushioning on the shoulder/arm pads and a handle for comfortable holding and wearing. The material seems strong and put together well. For the price on this product it is so worth it in my opinion. Normal Backpacks with way less storage can go for so much money and I was able to get this for $25.29! My only real disappointment was that there were no options to personalize it to my taste. I didn’t get a color choice like you do with most back packs or laptop cases. This is a black back pack with small areas of orange threads. While Orange is not my favorite it is subtle enough that I was okay with not having an option on color. Overall the bag appears like a normal back pack would, with an affordable price and a variety of pockets and holders on the bag that make up for the lack of color options! I am so pleased with this purchase and so glad I decided to get it! Read more

Just received this bag a few days ago and already love it. I am using for a workout bag to take to the gym. The bag material is very durable. Zippers are thick and strong and should last a long time. There are multiple zipper pocket sections so that clean and dirty clothes/towels can be stored. Straps are rugged. You could also use the bag for its original purpose which is a book bag/laptop bag. It would be excellent for school supplies. Provides enough padding to protect your laptop and has a front pocket for keys, pens/pencils and other school supplies. I got it for a great price of $20.99, but just checked and it is now on sale for $19.99. Only downside for me, it only comes in black or I would have bought one for my daughter. Definitely recommend if you need a great book bag at a great price and don't care about name brands. Read more

The media could not be loaded. This is a solid backpack with lots of room and compartments. The first compartment has several little dividers to hold your pens, post-it notes, business cards, phone, external drives, power cords, etc. The second compartment is not as deep or wide as the other pockets but goes down the whole length of the backpack. The third compartment is h-u-g-e! It's deep and wide and about 3-4" at the bottom and will hold a ton of books, folders, and notebooks. The rear compartment has a padded area for the laptop, a shallow pocket and another huge area that's as big as the 3rd compartment. Finally, in between the 3rd and 4th compartments is a mini-pocket that can hold a phone, iPod, ear buds, and other small items. This thing can hold a lot! On each side of the backpack is a mesh pocket with elastic top. It will hold a 20 oz. bottle of water. Drink containers larger than a 20 oz. water bottle will probably not fit. Now, let's talk about padding. The front compartment is padded, the handle is padded, the shoulder straps are very well padded and the areas that will be pressing against your shoulder blades and lower back are thickly padded, too. Overall, this is a great backpack and not too "basic". It's lightweight and strong. However, I have a 17" laptop (screen size). When I actually measured the body, it is 16 1/2". It can barely fit into the backpack without a lot of effort. And at the very top of the bag, where the corners of the laptop are, the laptop is clearly pushing the limits of the fabric so now those areas of my laptop are at risk for damage if dropped and the bag probably won't last more than a year before those areas completely wear through. And that is why I had to give this a 4-star rating. :-( If you have a 15" laptop and a lot of gear to carry, then this backpack is great and would be worth all 5 stars!!! Read more

I had been shopping for a replacement bag for several months, and had narrowed it down to a few choices. I finally chose this Amazon Basics laptop backpack. When I received it I was first impressed by how it felt in my hands. It doesn't feel flimsy at all, but very sturdy and well-made. I moved all my stuff from the old bag to the new bag and had plenty of room left over. There are multiple pockets for all your things, and the zippers are very smooth. I have a 16" laptop which fits the laptop sleeve with ease and the padding leaves me confident it's well-protected as I carry it about. The shoulder straps are very comfortable and I could carry this bag for a long time if needed. I would recommend this bag highly. Read more
