This charger is absolutely perfect. I use it with my iPhone 14 Pro Max, and it charges just as fast as the original Apple cable I replaced. It’s a bit thicker than Apple’s stock cable, which actually makes it feel sturdier and more durable. The length is exactly as advertised, and it works great with any Lightning device that supports fast charging. Using a 25W USB-C charging block, I’m getting from 0–80% in about 45 minutes. I originally purchased the USB-A to Lightning cables from Amazon Basics and was so impressed with their quality that when I upgraded to a new power brick with USB-C, I knew I had to stick with what worked. These USB-A to Lightning cables are no exception. They’re just as reliable, durable, and affordable as the previous ones I’ve used. The build quality is excellent, and they deliver fast charging just like the more expensive OEM cables. At a price point between the cheap foreign cables and the originals, Amazon Basics offers the perfect middle ground. I’ve found that these cables last longer than other budget options, and I love knowing they’re backed by Amazon’s customer service. From now on, Amazon Basics will be my go to brand for replacement cables. They offer great value, fantastic quality, and peace of mind. Works great for my needs at a fantastic price. For under $11 you can’t beat this Amazon USB-C to Lightening Cable. It’s 10 feet long so I can now charge my phone in the outlet behind my couch without having to leave it close to the wall to keep it plugged in. The cord feels very sturdy but it does lack the flexibility of a braided cord. I am happy with this charger. I bought the Amazon Basics MFi Certified USB-C to Lightning Fast Charging Cable (10 ft, White) thinking it would be a decent, affordable alternative to Apple’s overpriced cables. What a mistake. After barely one month of normal use, the cable snapped right by the connector where it attaches to the phone. That’s the most basic stress point any cable should be built to withstand, and this one failed almost immediately. For comparison: my Apple-branded cable lasted over four years before showing similar wear. This Amazon Basics version didn’t even survive a semester of use. The “nylon braided” design is pure marketing fluff — it hides the fact that the internal build quality is cheap and flimsy. To make matters worse, Amazon refuses to stand behind their own product. No refund, no replacement, and apparently it’s “non-returnable.” So you’re just out the money when it inevitably breaks. If you value reliability, avoid this cable like the plague. Spend the extra few dollars and get an actual Apple cable or a reputable third-party brand. Amazon Basics in this case means Amazon Disposable. Read more
