I bought these to hold down the legs of the frame for my pipe and drape stands. I am very pleased with the quality of the product. The material is heavy duty and the double zippers and strap are sturdy. Although the idea is to fill the pockets on either side of each weight with sand, I decided against that as sand attracts moisture and can seep through the zippers. After looking around, I decided the best thing to use are river stones. As you will see in the picture, they are smooth on all sides to prevent tearing at the fabric of the bag and they come in different sizes which will allow you to decide how much weight you want on each side. One 20 pound bag of stones is more than enough to fill both sides of two of the weights. I bought two bags for the four weights and each bag cost less than $13. The stones came clean of dirt but I hosed them off while inside the bag and let them dry in the sun before use. This is an inexpensive, clean, and safe solution. Read more

The media could not be loaded. These Amazon Basics sandbags are easy to fill and hold steady once they’re loaded. The material feels durable, the stitching is solid, and the zippers don’t jam. They’re basic, but they work — great for keeping light stands or tripods from tipping. Nothing complicated, just reliable weight where you need it. Read more

Been using these to weigh down the lights and the bags are great quality, with the double zipper especially (keeps the sand inside). Can store a lot of sand or rocks or weights to keep equipment steady. Functions perfectly, made out of good thick material and quality zippers. Read more

The 4-pack offers great value, providing ample weight for various setups. Metal insert that adds stiffness, making them easier to handle and ensuring they maintain their shape when filled, providing more stable support than alternatives. Read more

I bought these for use in weighting down my christmas tree, since my cat tends to knock it over in the middle of the night. I also ended up using one for weighing my camera tripod down that I bought later. The material feels very durable, and the double zippers are nice to have, although I did have one of the zippers break when I tried to zip it up after filling. Luckily I used gravel, and the one zipper was enough to keep the larger than sand particles from escaping. Overall, a decently sturdy, inexpensive bag that works well for adding weight, although I'd watch the zippers for signs of failure. Read more
