Love these smart plugs. I’m using them for my Christmas lights. They set up quickly and once you set up a routine in the Alexa app you don’t have to do anything else. I have my lights set to turn on/off at a certain time every day. The plug is small but works perfectly for my needs. They’re compatible with Alexa app or speakers. Needed a smart plug to connect to Alexa. I personally feel the regular Amazon smart plug is over priced when selling at the $25 normal price so opted for this Amazon Basics as a first time buyer. Well the first one I received was totally dead. No lights on at all when plugged in and could not even get the manual switch on the side to work. Completed the return process and the second one arrived and connected very easily. It seems to be fully compatable with Alexa. It is working well so far and connected and has stayed connected for over a week. Added the plug to a routine and works just as well as the more expensive plug with one slight annoyance. You can see it across the room when that basics plug is active and on with a huge green LED lit up on the front of it. I prefer the less in your face small blue light of the standard Amazon plug. I guess if the outlet was out of site it wouldn't be an issue but it is in full view where I needed to plug it in. Read more

This is a fantastic product. We use HomeKit as our main smart home platform and setting these up was a breeze. Just scan the code, plug them in and follow the instructions – you’re done in under a minute. These were our first choice because the four-pack is surprisingly affordable and works brilliantly. We’ve also tried using them with other platforms and they work perfectly with Google Home and the Matter-compatible IKEA Smart Hub. Read more

These are the best smart outlets. Installation is basically plug and play and no other app is required. As long as you've got the Alexa app it is easy peasy and you'll have your outlets controlling your device's power in a few minutes. I have a couple of these from when they first came out and they still work perfectly. Other brands have stopped working or their 3rd party app has been discontinued. I will only buy Amazon branded outlets from now on so I can be sure they won't become obsolete in 6 or 7 years. Read more
