The is not a professional mic replacement. It's also not crappy junk. Where 1 is crap, beauty better than nothing, and 10 is perfect, this is between a 6 and 8 depending on use case. Sound reproduction is good, maybe very good, but far from perfect. It's small and mobile but won't fit in a lapel. It has a wide focus of capture, about 160deg across and about 100deg verical... ish. I've not measured. Don't take those numbers seriously. Outside that range, the gain is low but capture is still OK and background is muted, but not gone. Within that background is not well removes. But, that's not what this mic is reallly for. I got this mic as a simple and reliable way to speak to my DRG teammates over steam. I come through crisp and clear and I can expect it to last longer than my headphones mic; and expect Winblows to continue to recognize it without fault. There are better sounding mics out there. Cheaper ones, too. More mobile; more capable; better background filtering, etc. This mic is a good compromise for simple, mobile, compatible and capable. I can recommend it for what it's meant for Read more

Great sounding mic for a cheap price. This definitely works great for overall video calls and it uses a standard USB C cable which is nice. The mute button is also very useful. The mic is surprisingly small, but that is a plus since it doesn't take up too much space and is fairly light. Read more

I just picked up the Amazon Basics USB Condenser Microphone a couple of weeks ago, and I'm really impressed with how it performs right out of the box for the price. The setup was a breeze – it's truly plug-and-play without any drivers or complicated installs. The audio quality is the best I've ever heard for a mic in this price range so far, with good sensitivity that picks up my voice nicely during calls. The adjustable stand is handy. It's compact and doesn't take up much space, plus it feels sturdy enough for daily use. One minor drawback is that it doesn't come with any built-in post-processing capabilities like noise cancellation or EQ adjustments out of the box, but that's easily bypassed by using it with mainstream VoIP apps like Discord or Zoom, or even free editing software like Audacity/OBS. Combined with those, it sounds great without needing extra hardware. Overall, if you're looking for an affordable mic that delivers great performance for recording or call via PC, this is a winner. It's not perfect for pro-level studios, but for the cost, it led up to previous like minded reviews. Read more

The media could not be loaded. I can’t say enough good things about this microphone. I only use it to chat with people. But it’s such a nice little mic. The fact it was $20 is honestly baffling in this day and age. It sounds great, it looks great. The physical mute button is super convenient. Easy to set up. Perfect size for my desk. Can just sit in the corner and it’s perfect. Read more

The media could not be loaded. This little USB condenser mic surprised me. Setup was instant — literally just plug it into the laptop and it’s ready to go. The audio comes through clean and clear, and it picks up your voice without needing to lean right into it. The build feels solid for the price, and the small desk stand is actually pretty stable. It’s a good choice for video calls, voiceovers, or quick recordings without messing with extra software or audio gear. For an affordable, plug-and-play mic, it works really well. Read more

The mic is actually pretty decent and sounds much better than you would expect something this cheep. I'm still giving it 3 stars because the USB cable it ships with is SUCH a piece of garbage. Its surprisingly stiff and hard to bend, it feels like cheep plastic and it just looks so bad. The one I received was actually bad out of the box and caused my PC to fail to recognize my mic. The USB cable just looked so cheep and the mic looked and felt so good that I instantly assumed that the USB cable was the problem. Swapped it out for a good cable and my mic worked instantly. Just to be sure I tried the USB cable with a couple other devices and it really was bad. Docking 2 stars for cheeping out and making me spend extra money just for an extra USB cable. Read more

I bought this Mike several months ago to use in my home office for video meetings and it works great. The sound quality is an improvement over my built-in laptop microphone . The setup is very simple , and I use it for my work and personal laptop. I don't know if it is good enough for podcasts or other professional use, but it definitely meets my needs and was a good value for the money. Read more

Okay, I had a USB condenser microphones that *looked* more like a studio microphone, but as far as audio quality this beats them. I've also had both previous generations of Amazon Basics USB condenser microphones. Don't let the looks deceive you. Practically speaking, this is a better microphone and it comes in a smaller, more convenient package to keep on your desk. Read more
