My husband surprised me with these earring in rose gold; for an elegant, sophisticated gift for a loved one look no further. I'm very choosy about jewelry & these elegant earrings are something special. The Design: - the unusual forward-facing filigree is quietly elegant and flatters the face of the wearer - the filigree cut itself is sharply defined with none of the sloppy-cut stamped metal edges so often found in less expensive filigree jewelry - the edges of the earring design are beautifully finished with a line of metal edging, again something not usual found in pieces at this price The Fit/Construction: - the bar is sturdy & well-sized; it fits through the earlobe easily with a positive click closure that stands up to full-day wear - the hoop size is perfect for both day & evening wear: not dinky, not huge. This is a particularly good hoop size for petite women. - the unusual rose-gold hue flatters all skin tones - the rose-gold color & the filigree combine to go nicely with many different styles of necklace, including hard-to-flatter pieces like pearls and Venetian glass beaded necklaces. It's a nice alternative to the 'matchy-matchy' of pearl earrings with a pearl necklace. The Presentation (oh, WOW!!): - the double-box presentation is stunning; superior to that of many fine jewelry stores and it makes quite an impression. Had I not known where these came from I'd have assumed that they cost much more (in the $100s) just because of the boxes. I'm really surprised at the detailed quality of this box presentation: opening it became an exciting part of the gift, like opening a gorgeously wrapped present.
