This was a great find! I have several basics and some work blouses from Amazon Essentials and they’ve always been much better than the other fast-fashion options on the platform in terms of material, fit, and quality. Wanted a slightly thicker everyday-cardigan for the cold seasons and this is a perfect swap-in for my ultra-thin spring/summer cotton-blend one. Best way I’d describe the fabric is “slightly meaty”… so a good amount of thickness, yet stretchy and squishy. It is 10% wool, and if you have more sensitive skin like myself, the faux mohair might feel a little itchy initially. When I’m actually wearing it, though- even with short sleeved shirts underneath- I don’t notice it at all. I’m also always surprised by how spot-on the brand is with sizing… it is “regular fit” like described- meant to end right above the belt line, skim the silhouette, and have little-to-no drape. I sized up to a Med (I’m usually a US 4-6ish w/ larger chest and shoulders, and wanted a more relaxed fit) but wish I had stuck to my normal size Small because the shoulder & neckline area would have probably fit a little better on me for this piece. I got this cardigan for my teen daughter. Overall it is a great quality cardigan at a good value, and it looks quality made. I sized up from what I would normally get for my daughter in case she didn't like it, so I could wear it. It fits loosely on her as expected, and it fits me comfortably, though I expected it to be snug on me. It is not like a crop top but the arms are slightly longer than the body of the cardigan. It comes below the waist for me, about to the belt line of medium to high-rise jeans. The faux mohair texture is fluffy and warm. My daughter is particular about textures and sensitive to them. She said she doesn't really like the texture, but it's not particularly itchy or irritating, and she could wear it with a long sleeved shirt since she likes the look and style. To me, it seems more soft, but I can see how it could be a little itchy on bare arms. It has not been shedding for us. We got the black because it will go with almost anything.
