Unlike many other pants I have tried that claim to be wrinkle free, these actually live up to it. The material looks great and feels well made. My work is fairly casual to the point where even jeans are alright, so these are perfect for me to look a little nicer while being just as comfortable. The color looks great. These fit true to size, so you can buy with confidence there. Amazon Essentials Men's Slim-Fit Travel Stretch Pants are not a pair of standard pants, but for what they are, I like them a lot. I am probably like most men in that I don't always manage the details of what I wear as carefully as I should but one thing about certain pants that bug me is the sometimes baggy fit around my hips and tush with pants that fit my *waist* perfectly. Why all of that extra space which is -- in my case -- not filled? I don't get it. It can make for a sloppy look and an uncomfortable wearing experience. Not so with these pants. Maybe I'm learning that "slim-fit" means pants are tailored to follow the body's lines even at the top, around the hips and butt. A snug look through the hips and thighs with tapering to a narrower leg opening seems to be what Amazon means when they advertise these pants with those words, because that is certainly what I have experienced. This cut creates a polished, sharp -- and dare I say it -- slender appearance. Yes, I realize that there are some men that need the extra space at the top, but that's not me. Like me, if you are annoyed by pants which provide way too much room in those areas, these pants may hold the ticket you need to punch. I carry a lot of items in my pockets, so having so many pocket options is part of the design which I truly appreciate. Not only are there generously large pockets in the front as well as pockets in the back, but there's at least one additional pocket which is zippered, which is a clever way to separate a key, money, or other item that holds singular importance. Closing the pocket with a zipper provides a little extra security which can be assuring if you are around a lot of people as I sometimes am. What might Amazon Essentials do to earn five stars instead of four? I can't find a traditional crease, which I like. Maybe that is a characteristic of slim-fit pants. I am a fashion neophyte, but I do know I like a traditional crease rather than the design of these pants in which there doesn't appear to be any crease at all. That's my only complaint. In terms of sizing, I ordered a 40 waist, 29 inseam. A 29 inseam is sometimes hard to find so I'm grateful for its availability. The inseam was dead-on perfect and the waist also fit fit fine, albeit a little snug. That's okay. I'm losing weight and they will be fine before long. I'm really closer to a 42 waist so these pants either have enough give that there is more space around the waist, or they simply run larger than other pants. In conclusion, though I can't offer five stars on this item as is, it is a solid four because it solves a pant problem I've had for much of my adult life. Very nice pants that go all day and still look fresh and wrinkle-free. At my age, I appreciate comfort but I don't want to give up on looks. These pants give me both in an easy to wear fabric that lets me bend and move and doesn't pinch my dad-stomach! The size is true to your normal size . They have an endless functionality: Wear them to church, work, on the golf course or out on the town. They are classic and timeless. They are also breathable to stay fresh smelling all day. Way back in the day almost everything came with a 28" version, but 29" is the minimum standard for most everything now. These are true 28's and fit my slim son very well.. no compensating with a sinched up belt.
