As someone who values both style and comfort, I recently purchased the Amazon Essentials Women's Ponte Pull-On Mini Length A-Line Skirt, and I must say, it's exceeded my expectations in every way. First and foremost, the comfort level is exceptional. The pull-on design makes it incredibly easy to wear, and the fabric feels soft while providing just the right amount of stretch. Whether I'm attending a work event or spending a day out with friends, I can move freely and comfortably without any restrictions. Moreover, the A-line silhouette is incredibly flattering (although I can see others prefer the tighter look). It skims over my curves beautifully, without making them look too big as the tighter skits do. The mini length adds a touch of youthful charm without being too revealing, making it versatile enough to wear to the office or for a casual weekend outing. For reference I'm 5'8" and it hits above my knee just as shown in the product photo, which is my preferred skirt length. Additionally, I'm 180lbs so I ordered a large and it fits perfectly in the waist and hips! One of the things I appreciate most about this skirt is its versatility. It pairs effortlessly with a variety of tops, from simple tees for a laid-back vibe to blouses for a more sophisticated ensemble. As always with Amazon Essentials, high quality piece for a great deal. The skirt is wonderfully thick (good for various climates), long enough, and comfortable. I am between sizes and started with a medium. I found it rode up a bit and was snug for my taste. Excellent quality mid-weight ponte knit, that has slight stretch, but is not clingy. The fabric is thick enough to not show every bump in your clothing, yet not too thick to be cumbersome. Sizing is accurate. The style is flattering and with the slight flare at the hemline. The fit is figure-forgiving and not movement constricting. The wide and firm waistband is flexible enough to pull on, but firm enough do not roll over. After machine machine washing and drying there was no piling or fading or overall problems. However, there was a 1.5 inch in length shrinkage after machine washing and drying. That would probably not be a problem and to an advantage for someone with longer legs, but I'm only 5'2 inches tall. This wardrobe staple is well made to bridge seasons, attractive with tights and or boots and a sweater in the winter, or cooler tops in the summer. (I like to wear 5" biker shorts underneath for both modesty and shape wear.) This value-priced skirt is a good investment. Due to it's excellent material quality and workmanship it can both last for years and be versatile enough to wear to casual events, shopping, the office, or to more dressy events. Unfortunately, I had to return this skirt due to the shrinkage. I had purchased this A-line version after Amazon Essentials pencil skirt had sold out of the size and colors I wanted to purchase. That skirt had the perfect amount of after-laundering length shrinkage to make it knee-length on me (2.5"). I had purchased two pencil skirts, but wanted more colors, especially the black one. This skirt is huge in size. I wouldn’t want it anyway. The material is so cheap. It is not like the picture. It’s not worth getting it sized. If this is Amazon’s new kind of clothing I won’t be buying any more clothes. Why are your clothes so cheap now??? And almost every review says your boots are cheap and fall apart. SIZE DOWN! I'm a bigger gal, and sometimes I need Size 18 clothes, sometimes I need Size 20. But they didn't have an 18/20. So I erred on the side of caution and chose the larger size 20/22. Bad decision, sadly. It was too big to even be called "roomy." If I jumped up and down, the waist would have been at my knees in seconds, lol. Speaking of knees, this skirt fell right at my knees (I'm 5'7"), and that's not what I was hoping for... An a-line style works best on me if it's a few inches above my knees. If you're taller, or have a longer waist, this might work better for you. The fabric is thick and stretchy and felt to be a good quality. I got this in black, and it was just... black. I know that sounds weird, but bear with me. It wasn't a BLACK black. It wasn't a faded black. It wasn't a crisp black. It was just BLAH black.
