These bulbs are a great replacement for the bulbs that came with some lamps I got here on Amazon. The original bulbs were bright white, very harsh on the eyes and terrible for reading at night while also casting sharp shadows. These bulbs are almost like candle light on the low setting on my lamps. Quite warm, almost warmer than expected but acceptable. Perfect for reading before bed (my original intent for the lamps). At this setting, they will probably last many, many thousands of hours, making them an absurdly good value. They barely use any electricity. The light doesn’t cause any headache or weird feeling like some lights do, one of my concerns about giving up my incandescent lamp. These bulbs are very good except that I wanted them for the antique fixtures and that is where they do not match well. The light is pretty white, not orange as antiques go. Also, it is very bright which is a good thing for the bulbs in general, but my fixture are on an on/off switch, no dimmer, so these are just too bright. They appear to be very well made and would be perfect in the right application, but I would definitely remove the vintage label unless you have an LED dimmer handy. Read more
