This is a well-made and versatile pen-style lighter. Its body has an oval shape, which lets it fit more comfortably in your hand and keeps it from rolling off a table or counter. It lights every. single. time. as long as you have fuel in it. I did have one issue at first, and others have raised the same issue in the questions and reviews. I could not get the lighter to accept any fuel from my standard butane canister. When I tried to fill the lighter, butane sprayed everywhere but would not fill the lighter. I purged any residual pressure in the lighter by pushing on the fill port with a small Phillips head screwdriver, but still couldn't get it to fill. Then I started trying some of the plastic nozzles that are mounted inside the cap of my fuel canister (see photo). After a few tries, I found one that fits the lighter. I broke the nozzle off the cap where it was mounted, twisted it onto the fill port of the lighter (small end of the nozzle first) and then filled it. Worked great! My photo shows the lighter with the nozzle still attached so you can see how it attaches for filling. I especially like that the flame adjustment allows you to set the flame size pretty small but it still lights. Many lighters require the flame to be adjusted higher than I would like or else they won't light every time. This one lights first time, every time. The media could not be loaded. I've had about 5 of these same exact torches, the only difference being the brand names. Otherwise they've been identical. And they are my top faves. They live the longest, without getting all wonky. They start on the first or second click everytime. You can use them with the flame turned way low, which is honestly my favorite feature. They are slim, lightweight, slick. I guess if I had to come up with a con, it would be that the gas tank is a little small. I have owned many torches and none of them compared to this one . It’s so light weight and visually appealing. Most of all the while using the torch it makes the least amount of noise while clicking it on . Upon first filling it up, it took a bit to light, but that’s just because the gas had to travel and fill the tube. Once it’s filled, it is good to go. The body of the torch is sleek. It isn’t round, it’s oval. If a torch could be described as elegant, then this is. I’ve had a torch made by Honest prior to this, the cylindrical one of about the same height…slightly shorter…and it would light reliably as well but only at a higher flame and would be kind of loud. This torch however is much more quiet and lights reliably with a shorter flame. Oct 20, after six months of usage (3-4 times a day, every day), I’ve noticed that at least 25% of the blue paint has flaked off. I didn’t really begin noticing it until I saw some blue specs on the table and stuck to my palm. I have an easy solution for those of you purchasing a “colored” variety (as opposed to the chrome one): get some clear scotch tape, not the matte one. You want the one that almost appears glossy. Cover the paint with that, trim the excess using a razor blade, and you are good to go. It won’t be near the beat source so there’s no risk of it melting or burning. Read more

This type of torch can list for much much higher than it is on Amazon. I didn’t know that they came so much cheaper so when I saw it online, I figured it would fall apart in my hands as soon as I used it. But I was wrong and I’m glad I got this. it works well, has a good adjustable flame, fill easily, and is holding up nicely. If you tend to buy torches, I’d recommend trying this one. Especially if you tend to waste money on cheaper torches as throwaways. You might as well spend the same amount of money and get a much higher quality product . Read more
