I rarely if ever buy an Amazon product that does not have two things: hundreds if not thousands of positive reviews, and 4.5 starts and above. This only had a 130ish reviews so took a gamble. Paid off! This is perfect. Very heavy duty, dense rubber that lays flat right out of the roll. No cupping. Has a nice grippy texture, and very durable. I’m using in my woodworking shop as a lay down mat on my outfeed table that I also use for assembly. I wanted something very dense and durable first, given casework and plywood impact, and not overly textured. This is perfect. It would also be a gym mat and great for heavy weights, but not as soft as my gym mats that have more cushion for body work and stretching. So, if you want something durable and flat, this is it. I got the 4x7 ft, 1/4" thick mat. It feels quality, I think it will last a long time. The 1/4" thickness was just enough height so that I don't feel like we are tripping on it but provided enough cushion for floor ab exercises. Highly recommend. It is a quality mat for sure but it stinks to high heck for my sensitive nose. My spouse doesn’t smell it! I’ve had it 2+ months, left it on the patio for a month and I can still smell it and cannot stay in the same room with it for long. Did some research on uTube and it’s recommended to purchase this during the hot summer months, leave it outside and the sun will back off the chemical smells into the outside air. 7 months until summer again! I recommend making this purchase to arrive during the heat of summer if u have sensitive nose. UTube also recommends some cleaning products to help alleviate the odors. The mat is really a good one. The media could not be loaded. I bought the 3/8" 3x4 feet and it's feels very nice for slamming weights on. Heavy rubber but softer than rubber. My piece actually measured 4feet 1/2 inch X 3 feet 6 inches. Don't know how easy to clean but looks like you could hose it off & dry in the sun. Great for gyms. You won't need this thick just for workouts. It feels a bit too hard by itself to directly lay on & do sit-ups ect but can Definately take foot traffic or dumbells & workout bench. Read more
