I wanted to replace my windshield suction mounted phone holder that I was using because in the warmer months it loses suction and falls off. So I looked at this item as well as the similar one from the same manufacturer (Andobil) that is slightly shorter and has wireless charging. I decided to go with this one because of the extra couple of inches in length. Even though this model doesn't have the wireless charging feature, I didn't really care about that as much. This mount fit in my cup holder (2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude) without using the extra "pads" included in the box. It assembles easily and only took a minute or so to install in the cup holder. I've been using it for a few weeks now and have had no issues with anything loosening up or breaking. It does wiggle slightly while driving, but it's so minor it doesn't bother me. It seems very well made, not flimsy junk like we often see from China. Only thing I can think of to ding it on is the little cable clip at the bottom of the post to clip in your charging cable. It's a solid plastic clip rather than something more flexible, like maybe stiff rubber or silicone or whatever similar material. I mention this because my charging cable is rather thick and heavy duty, and has a braided covering, so being thicker than most, it wouldn't clip into the cable clip. Not a big deal really. I just used a long thin Velcro strip to hold the charging cable to the post instead, which works fine, so like I said, not a big deal. Otherwise I'm very happy with this phone holder, and no more windshield obstruction to boot! And in California, we can only mount our phones in the lower left corner of the windshield, which isn't convenient for me being right handed. With the phone to my right and off my windshield, I'm a very happy camper. Only time will tell how it stands the "test of time", but it does have a 1 year warranty, so I'm not worried. I bought this as a third choice for a phone holder. I bought a 2022 Subaru Outback. My original phone holder would not stick to the dash, even though I had a new base for it to stick to. The second phone holder I picked up would not stick to the dash either. I don't know if it's because it's a brand new dash or if the dash itself isn't suitable for sticking things on it. To be honest, with what I need the phone holder for, there wasn't a good spot for it anyway. I drive part time with Uber & Lyft, so I need to be able to have the phone within reach to accept fares while driving. The cupholders in my Outback are positioned great for drinks but not the best spot for this phone holder. It is adjustable in three ways, which is great. First, the base can expand to fit almost any cup holder (unless it's a small cup holder.) 2nd, the phone holder section itself expands out. I have an iPhone 11 in an Otterbox Defender case. It holds my phone with no problems. Finally, the stem itself can be bent to help adjust where the phone is. I can bend it back so that it's further from me. (I'm tall, so my arms are long.) So far it seems pretty sturdy and adjustable. This will hold me until I can buy a different type of phone holder that will put my phone in a much better spot. So it all depends on what you need to do with your phone and phone holder. It's not perfect but at least I can keep my phone from hanging off the vent. Read more

Though I purchased a similar item once before, the Andobil is much better! I even tried to hypermount for my car and it simply never adhered well. This gooseneck mount brings the phone very close to me allowing me to see a message and respond when able without getting in my way. I’ve searched long and hard and find this to be the BEST car phone mount I have ever bought! Recently received this cup phone holder and am very happy with it. Fits nicely in my cupholder when using the 3 rubber pads. The gooseneck keeps it at a good height and is easily adjusted to the angle you need vertically or horizontally. The quick release button is convenient too. I have a name brand cup phone holder as well, and while it does work it is very basic & does not have any of the much needed options that the Andobil cup phone holder does have. Read more
