When I ordered this Andrew Marc trench coat, I was hoping the quality would be as good as it looks in the seller’s photos. I’m happy to report that this coat is fantastic. It’s well made, stylish, comfortable, warm, figure flattering, and the fit is true to size. This coat offers a lot of style versatility. It’s the right coat to wear with a button-down blouse, slacks, and heels for a business function. It’s also the right coat to wear with a dress and an up-do for a night out. Somehow, it’s also the right coat to wear with jeans or leggings, boots, and a long sweater. The classic camel color is lovely and offers a neutral base for accessorizing with pops of color, light neutrals, or with black. Any coat I wear has to have good pockets, roomy enough for my hands to stay warm or to hold my phone or my gloves, maybe my key fob or my card wallet. This coat has me covered. The front pockets are large and have a flap and button closure, perfect for securing a fob, cell phone, or ID. The openings for the side pockets are along the edges of the large front pockets. The soft, ribbed-knit collar can be worn up or down. I prefer the look of it when down, as I feel it gives the coat a cleaner look and adds a nice textural contrast, but it’s good to have the option of wearing it up when there’s a cold wind blowing. The thick, smooth fabric in the body of the coat is a durable wool/poly blend and the lining is 100% polyester. The lining appears to be stitched securely, but, as expected in this type of coat, it’s thin and susceptible to tearing along the stitch line. Treat the coat with care and check the lining before and after dry cleaning to keep it in good condition through years of wear. The large buttons are strong and add a nice design element. There are three main buttons spaced about 9.75” apart that run down the main body of the coat in the front, with three more of the same size buttons higher up at the neck and collar. The highest ones are a bit difficult for me to button, but I don’t intend to wear the collar up so it’s not really a problem. The coat I received came with three extra buttons: two of the large buttons and one of the hidden smalls. The belt is 2.5” wide and super long, I guess because it’s meant to be tied rather than buckled. The back of the coat features a 9.5” section that you feed the belt through, ensuring that the belt stays with the coat when worn open. I prefer buckling the belt and am considering having it shortened and having a couple more buckle holes added. I was able to buckle the belt comfortably on the last hole, but I want the option to wear the coat over layered clothing or a bulky sweater and still be able to wear the belt comfortably buckled. Based on the high quality of the materials, design, and construction of this coat, and factoring in the aesthetic appeal of this contemporary take on a wardrobe classic, I consider this Andrew Marc trench coat to be an excellent value for the price and recommend it highly. This Belted Wool Trench Coat is stunning. It is classy, timeless, beautiful, expertly made. I included a picture of the buttons on the trench coat as even the buttons are stunning! I love the length of this trench coat. Plus, it feels fantastic. I could not help but keep running my hands over the fabric. It is extremely comfortable to wear and will keep me warm on chilly or breezy days. The sand color is a great choice. It is a neutral color and can go with just about anything. I love that this trench coat can be worn with casual clothing or used in a more dressy setting. The belt is a great choice and helps show off your shape and gives the coat definition. I also love the Soft Ribbed-knit Collar. It helped keep me warm while out running errands today. It was cold and very windy but this buttons up to slightly below the chin and kept me warm and cozy. This jacket also has pockets which I used to keep my gloves in when I went inside stores. This is not a lightweight trench coat. It has some weight to it and is perfect for colder days. I love how polished and stylish this coat is. It looks even better in person than it does online. I ordered my usual size and it fit perfectly. I felt very glamourous wearing this coat. I'm impressed by this coat. It gives that polished, tailored look without feeling stiff or uncomfortable. You can wear it fully buttoned for a sleek, dramatic vibe or open for a softer look. The wool blend feels thick and high-quality, with enough weight to actually keep you warm on cold days without being overly bulky. The ribbed knit detail of the collar is a nice touch, it adds a little extra insulation around the neck. Not itchy! The belt is way too long, but it cinches perfectly at the waist! I also like the pocket depth. Fit-wise, I probably could've sized down to XS, but I wouldn’t have had enough room to layer a sweater underneath. For reference, my measurements are 34D–29–36, 115#. I'm 5'2" and the length is great, I dont feel like I'm drowning in fabric! The only complaint I have is that the shoulders are slightly narrow, but the sleeves are long enough to combat losing wrist coverage if you have to lift your arms - if you’re my height at least. The price is pretty fair for this quality, and it's one of those pieces that instantly makes you feel put together the second you put it on. Highly recommend! Read more
This coat has become a staple in my wardrobe. It’s heavy, incredibly warm, and looks so chic. It looks and feels high-quality, and the camel color is beautiful. This coat is fire! I love It so much! It arrived right after we had a snow storm, and the weather was starting to warm up, but I had to try it on anyway and it was so stylish and fit so well. I ordered XS and am 5'4, 118lbs, and the fit was perfect! I was confused at the extra long belt at first, but I realized once I saw the photos that it ties which is super cute. It is incredibly warm and heavy, which makes it super cozy and the lining is silky so the only fabric on your skin is nice and soft, not the wool. But the wool insulates you and keeps your body toasty! I LOVE the collar! It stands up on its own and changes the whole look from "inspector gadget" to modern stylish and sleek. The color is spot on and reminds me of high end leather in a luxury car. It's beautiful! Everything about it screams quality and style.
