I got this from the Amazon seller Nature Direct BSD and was able to confirm with the batch number that it is the real product. I was able to use it while swimming in the high mountains for hours and it protected me from burning. I have very pale skin that burns easily, so that's no small feat! It worked much better than sun bum sunscreen that I had been using before. However, I probably wouldn't use this as a day to day sunscreen since it does not have the best texture or smell. But so far it is the best I have found for hiking or other sweaty activities! Read more

Nice texture, not so nice scent

Absorbs well and dries down to a velvet texture/doesn’t feel greasy. It seems like it would work well under makeup. It doesn’t make my eyes burn like other sunscreens have and seems to stay in place well - you definitely need to double cleanse to get it off completely. Has not broken me out. The only downside is the fragrance. It has a very strong artificial/alcoholic citrus smell that’s reminiscent of that orange liquid amoxicillin for children, Smencils (those weird scented pencils we had in elementary school), or a screwdriver made with vodka from a plastic bottle and Tang. It’s so insanely specific and off-putting. It does dissipate but it leaves a kind of sweet, acidic, chalky smell behind. My boyfriend asked if I had put something different on my face (after I’d been wearing it all day, probably 8 hours) - he has such a bad sense of smell so I KNOW it lingers if he could smell it. I assume it’s something I’ll get used to but if you are sensitive to fragrance or concerned about your skin reacting to fragrance I would try something else.
