Works well for my needs. This is a nice small cold brew container and it produces a nice brew very easily, which is exactly what I wanted. I don't want a huge container as I don't need that much cold brewed coffee at a time. I prefer to make it fresh in smaller batches and this works great for me. I have no issues with the quality. I'm very happy with it and it produces a nice tasting brew for me. Read more

This is a nice cold brew maker that is all stainless steel and glass. The handle too is glass. It's hygienic and comes completely clean. I use a bottle brush on the filter. Since this carafe is glass and is tall relative to the diameter of the base I do worry about breaking it either by it toppling over or by hitting it against something. I'm kind of clumsy. It is nice to be able to see the coffee inside but I would have less anxiety using a cold brew setup that was made of something less breakable. The tall and thin shape of this does fit in my fridge better than another shape might. And it looks elegant on a table. I prefer cold coffee and often simply mix it up with instant coffee granules and a coffee frother gadget. Those results surely aren't the same as making "real" coffee. This cold brew maker is a way of making coffee almost effortlessly, I put some grounds in the filter, fill it with water and leave it in the fridge for a few hours or overnight to produce good tasting cold brew. I wanted to love this, because it's a beautiful piece of glass. At first glance, I could tell that the little flap in the lid was not made correctly. It should have been a convex dome so any liquid that gets stuck in the lid could go back down. Instead, it is concave in a cup shape, so liquid that gets trapped in the lid will sit in that little cup area at the top. It's not a lot of liquid, but I just don't want that sitting "outside" the container in the open air. Otherwise the whole thing comes apart relatively easily to clean. As others have noted, this is just for letting your brew steep for long periods of time, and there is no way to push water out of the center by a press or otherwise. They will stay damp and wet forever until you dump them. Read more

1-qt pitcher with its refined design is the perfect size for a solo like me or for when you have a friend or two over. When removing the filter with the grounds inside from the pitcher after allowing to steep, the first image in the posting shows very closely the level of liquid (iced coffee, tea, etc.) that remains in the pitcher; I can make three iced coffees from it. The thing I like the very most about this pitcher is how it fits in the door of my mini fridge - so convenient and space saving. I debated on a 4-star review (a bit awkward to clean) or 5 but went with a 5-star review as I really like the tapered shape and how the different pieces fit together, including the seal and pouring ability. At first I was going to rate this a full five stars but after using it there are a few things that have bumped it down for me. The glass carafe is great. I love that it's glass, and high quality. It's a fun shape too and fits nicely in a fridge door. 5 stars. The fact that you can brew, and then store, your coffee in the same container is ideal. I've noticed with use that the metal filter is very flimsy. Not only is it really thin, and easily bent with too much pressure, but the top part is not well secured to the filter. (Not sure if you can detect the gap in the photo). This is perhaps a 3 star part, because it does work and does it's job, but isn't high quality or durable. And lastly, the top itself. It's designed to double as a suctioned lid as well as pour spout. It seems well made but the more I use it the less I like the design. I see why it works. But I think I would have preferred the pouring spout to be part of the glass, and the lid just a lid. Its a bit awkward In the fridge, and the top is a bit, not exactly sharp in a dangerous way, but still somewhat intrusive. This is just personal preference. The lid does tightly seal, however, and is sturdy and well made. Ultimately I do really like this and even though there are things I think could be improved, the good outweighs the bad and makes this a worthwhile purchase. Even if at some point in the future the filter ends up coming apart, the glass pitcher itself is so nice it will continue to be useful. Over all this is easy to use and looks good too. Note: This comes with no directions. It's pretty straightforward but if you've never made cold brew coffee before, you can always look it up online. Read more
