Very nice unit. The drawback that I experienced was the lack of instructions regarding the antenna base. I was disappointed initially because it had very little magnetic pull. On the base of the unit, I noted a gum label and thinking that it might be just a protective label, I chanced removing the label to see if it were removed, that it would increase the magnetic pull. Upon removing the label, and applying the base to a metal vent, it was evident that the label was to be removed to increase the magnetic force. Simple instructions would have prevented worry that I was possibly destroying the device before having used it and not be able to return the 'defective antenna'. The unit works as expected. Read more

I have one SirusXm radio and move it to different vehicles. This short antenna along with a short 5volt red tip power cord makes it very easy to setup the radio, in any vehicle with out several feet of cords wrapped in a knot. No clutter simple move/setup now. Quite happy : ) Read more

This antenna is superior to all other Sirius/XM antennas sold on Amazon. Unlike the other antennas, this one actually has gain instead of varying amounts of loss. The pattern is not an attempt at a uni-polar pattern like the other antennas on Amazon. This one's pattern it is made up of a large number of lobes with gain in most lobes and minimum loss in the others. This means off axis signals (signals coming to the antenna from the side) have gain applied as well as straight ahead and behind the antenna. There are only two shortcomings with the antenna. First, the cable is only 4 feet long and terminates into a 90 degree SMB connector. Secondly, It would be better if it terminated into a straight connector because 4 feet of cable is not enough and will require a male SMB to Female SMB extension cable. 10-23 feet is enough depending on whether you mount the antenna on the forward part of the car or the rear. 10' will be required for most installations but a straight connector on the 4 foot antenna cable is much easier to hide than a 90 degree connector. All in all, don't mess with the antennas priced in the $12 to $20 range. They will not have satisfactory performance but this one will experience minimum drop outs. Read more

This is a great antenna. The 4 foot cable doesn’t need to be coiled up. Price is right as well. Read more
