I previously had an 8mm roll up version with multiple 2in slats that lasted about 7 years on a high pile carpet before the constant flexing destroyed it. This one is a 12mm 2 piece folding design that is much more rigid and distributes weight better. So far it’s working much better, providing a much smoother glide and shifting less overtime. It wasn’t cheap, but if it can outlive the last one then it was a good deal. Read more
Like everyone else I've destroyed my share of plastic chair mats using an office chair on top of a plush home carpet. I saw this and figured it might be just the thing. I was a bit put off by the price, but figured if it lasted long enough it would be worth it. Well I've only had it a few days so I can't speak to longevity, but the mat is beautiful and so firm that the wheels do not sag into the mat at all. The chair almost moves too easily. This mat is very solid. We've worn through several heavy duty plastic chair mats. The plastic mats last at most 2 years before they start cracking. This one looks like it will last a long time. We're very happy with it. Read more
