We're a small, busy family of three. We have several devices that are recharged via USB -- two cell phones, two tablet devices, power banks (portable chargers), mobile speakers, etc.. I'm not a fan of waste and make a conscientious attempt to minimize our purchases as a household. We have a few USB wall chargers (the single-port ones that came with the devices), so I figured a contraption like this Anker 60W 6-Port Charger would be unnecessary. However, as time passed, I continuously found us waiting too long for a device to finish charging, often causing a "line" to form of other devices waiting their turn to get charged, and also resulting in one of us taking off and bringing a device that wasn't fully charged. Not cool for families on the go. I held off as long as I could, but began to eye this Anker 6-Port Charger. I finally pulled the trigger. Wow, after just a couple of days of using the device, we can't believe it took us this long to buy this thing. I created a makeshift charging station that hides all the cords, and placed this Anker inside. Now all our devices are charged in one location (VS 10 different places around the house), and they're charged at amazing full-speed thanks to the PowerIQ technology! It really works. For some devices with bigger batteries (ie. iPad, heavy-duty power bank, etc.), the charging time was cut in less than half. Very convenient. Another cool thing: I don't have to worry about the charging rate. PowerIQ automatically charges at the fastest speed that can be safely applied to the specific device. If you have multiple USB-charged devices and have ever found yourself frustrated with all the separate chargers or leaving the house with half-charged electronics, then this Anker charger is a must purchase. It's small, sleek, effective, and fairly priced. I have other Anker products and can attest that they do stand behind their products and have a well-deserved 5-star customer service standard. Even the packaging is very attractive -- great if you're getting this as a gift, which I'm sure any busy family would love. Read more

Update 9/30/2015 I've been a bit remiss in following up on the issue I had with one of my Anker Hubs. To my surprise, I received a call late last week from a Anker representative to inquire as to the status of the Hub and issues. Long story short, the representative replaced the hub. I received the hub on Sunday night, its works fine. Also, take note, the 1 out of the two original Hubs I still have from my Dec 21st 2014 order, still works flawlessly. I amend my current rating to 5 stars, for a combination of a great product and Stella customer service. Update 3/1/2015 One unit not working! I purchased the original units below, Dec 21st 2014. 2 days ago, I noticed one of the units is no longer charging my devices. I've tried all the ports and switched out the charging cables. No change. I think the box is toast. I will call Anker on Monday. Not sure what the Mean time failure rate on these devices are, but it should not be two months. :( (removing 3 stars ) I am going to give this items 5 stars. In a few weeks, I will update my review to validate the units are still functioning as intended. The unit is compact, is little bigger then a pack of cigarettes, has 6 charge ports and comes with a detachable power cord. Its Matte black (Thank goodness for that, because I hate most items in shiny black plastic. Only time I would like shiny black plastic is if it was Darth Vader shiny black; if it was, then I would request It play the light saber sound when you plug and unplug a USB device. OK ,I've swerved of the topic) As I was saying; It is Matte black in color and sports a nifty little blue power light. Set up is easy. I've charged multiple devices simultaneously such as two Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 tablets, Galaxy S3 cell phone and a Kindle Touch. My non scientific opinion is my devices seem to charger faster. When not in use,I keep this device plugged directly to my wall socket. It sits there quietly, is allowed to socialize in the room and even watch TV with me. OK now for the real important stuff. All USB cords are not equal, and their performance can vary. Please make sure you are using good quality and certified USB charge cords( preferably the ones that came with your device) Consult your device manufacture if you are not sure. Also please do not get it wet or feed it after midnight (OK, you caught me, the feeding it after midnight part is totally fictional) Read more

A while ago we added a Loveseat dual-recliner to our living room. It included a USB-port (Type A female) as part of the push-button controls for the recliner. Wonderful, right? Problem was that it didn't have enough 'oomth' to feed my Apple iPad as fast as the iPad drained its battery when hard at work. I tend to use the iPad with Bose Quiet Comfort noise cancelling headphones so if my wife is watching TV, the down-the-hall washer and dryer in our apartment are doing their thing, the dishwasher in the nearby kitchen is hard at work, and I want to listen to an eBook, check my favorite podcasts, classical music streams, or visit YouTube, etc. I can do so. The iPad has bluetooth, Wi-Fi, full-bright screen and charging at full-tilt-boogie. Anyway, this charger can fast charge the iPad, top off my cell phone without batting an eye. These devices are both USB-C. The headphones are still the old USB-mini, but getting an appropriate cord for that was not a problem. BTW: The Bose headphones will not work while on the charger, but that's OK, it seems to go to full charge in about an hour - I usually plug them in during dinner break. They audibly tell me battery charge remaining when they are turned on, before searching for a paired device. Not a problem. Amazon suggests these topics: Size - small enough to fit under the recliner; Installation: Trivial; color: Neutral,kk donj't really care; Charge capability: See above; Durablity: Our son is in I.T., jas worked from his home since the start opf the pandemic. He has had several of these scattered around home and office without so much as a burp. I didn't queston his recommendation. Read more
