I’ve tried this a few times, and more than anything, I actually surprisingly like the texture. This is my first time trying anything like this, so I really had no idea what to expect. I mostly leave my kitty alone—I don’t douche or do anything special—and she’s a really healthy kitty. I don’t have odor issues, maybe just some dryness. So, does it help with odor? My kitty still smells the same, which I imagine is a good thing—it’s not like a perfumery product. Honestly, if my kitty smelled different, I don’t think I would be keen on that. What I do notice is a different feel—there’s a bit more moisture. It’s not a silicone-y or greasy feel; it’s very natural, like a lightly moisturized dampness that’s true to how kitties naturally are. It doesn’t feel like there’s product on her—it’s like how our kitties are already a bit damp, but with a little more of that natural dampness. It’s as if she’s having a good day. Read more
I love the fact that these come in the airless spray bottle so as you use it, it just pushed the liquid up and you can use up pretty much all of your product! If you pop the cap off, you can refill if you reuse skincare empties (obviously wash and dry first before reusing) My main use for this at the moment is for armpits because I really feel like I smell a bit more than I am comfortable with. There are so many products out there now and I don’t what which to trust… Even after a clean shower with soap and vigorous scrubbing, I am still finding the need on how to actually tackle the odor and not just masking it. Based on what I’ve learned and read up about odor though, the awful and embarrassing odors you have is not from your sweat itself. The odors happen when your sweat gets mixed in with bacteria that’s on your body. This is really easy to spray and I didn’t get any irritation for my armpits (and I do shave them). I just turned 40, and between birth injuries and midlife hormone changes, the hydration this offers is a godsend. I didn’t love the fragrance the first time I smelled it, but that’s because I unscrewed the lid to smell it up close and the green, botanical scent was just too strong. However, when sprayed where it belongs rather than practically up your nose, it’s lovely — not overpowering, and just a clean, green scent. The bottles and pumps on the full sized and pocket sized versions are all excellent; they have a solid, classy look, and they create a very even and very fine mist, and I like that it’s designed to be sprayed upside down. I don’t think I’ll be able to use up all the product, because once it gets low I think the straw part will be above ten fluid level when upside down; that’s unfortunate, especially since this isn’t exactly a low cost item, but I also can’t think of a good way to solve for that which wouldn’t be prone to malfunction, so I’m not removing any stars for it. I also don’t agree with calling the small ones “pocket” sized, but they are a good size for a purse/ pocketbook, and I like having one there to use throughout the day that’s big enough to last more than a handful of sprays. It would be nice if they had an option for one that really is pocket sized (like maybe those perfume sample sized bottles) and was refillable; I don’t usually carry my purse to the bathroom with me at work so while the purse-sized option is great, it still doesn’t quite make it so I can have this with me all the time… which I’d like, because I really do enjoy the product. I visited their website (with a biochemist perspective) and came away with confidence that Antevorta has taken all the steps necessary to ensure their products are safe to use externally anywhere on the body, including the sensitive vulvar region. The printing and packaging are of very high quality. Unlike many formulations with traditional Chinese medicinal herbs, everything is in English and the labeling meets all US regulatory requirements for a product of this type. A lot number and expiration date are on both box bottoms and the larger bottle, and the expiration is on each of the small bottles. Both sizes in the set I received are the same lot with an expiration 3 months shy of 3 years from the date of purchase. The bottles are specially designed to dispense a fine spray no matter the direction the bottle is in — including upside down, making it easy to apply to the vulvar area. My Experience The spray has a mild, light scent that isn't at all herbal to me; instead it's reminiscent of cucumber, although there isn't any cucumber in it. **While the spray is formulated for general odor control and skin hydration, an individual's body chemistry, and microbial population will influence its effectiveness.** I used the spray for odor control so I can't speak to how well it works to enhance moisture or soothe skin irritation. For me, using the spray on the vulvar area and underarms did reduce odor with consistent daily use although sometimes, two or three times a day was needed. After 6 weeks, so little liquid is gone from the 2.7 fl oz bottle it may last 6 months or possibly longer. I had been using a different biologic based product that doesn't need to be applied as frequently; I often skip a day or two. The Antevorta spray is quite expensive, however, the bottle seems it will last a long time. Once I know just how long, I can decide which product is the better value for the money. Read more
