Love it! Coffee is quickly made, Foamy and delicious. Super easy to use. Read more
It makes very fast, delicious, and foamy coffee, and it's very easy to clean. It doesn't overflow. I'm very pleased with it, and I highly recommend it to anyone considering buying one but still hesitant. Read more
The media could not be loaded. TLDR: net-net, I haven't achieved foamy goodness but do believe I can get there with more experience and it tastes very good. I have concerns re the instructions (incomplete, lack of clarity), design (cleaning, longevity) and operation (pulling the plug). Details below. I think such a simple appliance should not only have easy to understand instructions, i.e., well written, but also design and operation which inspire confidence it will last. This is a water heater or hot water kettle except power doesn't plug directly into the carafe, it plugs into the housing which you place the carafe into. As pictures show, the carafe is black and copper trim finish on outside, but steel colored on inside (picture makes it look black inside, it's not). The base of the carafe is heavy, because it contains a heating element. The carafe is set onto a central element which inserts into a receiver on the carafe to transmit electricity to the heating element. The carafe does not sit flat as the video shows. Though you have to push the power button to start the heating, the manual appears to state that when not in use to unplug it. That doesn't inspire confidence. We leave our coffee maker, espresso machine, toaster, toaster oven, etc., all plugged in. As one of the pictures show, there is a seam in the bottom of the carafe. This may have a few adverse implications. First, it's practically impossible to fully dry in the crevice, will this contribute to rust? It also is a pathway to the side of the heating unit in the base of the carafe. How well is it sealed? Is there a risk over time that the carafe can leak out the bottom? What if it's dropped in the sink? Will that affect the seal? How about thermal expansion, the carafe sides get HOT, will that eventually loosen the seal? The instructions are not even first draft worthy, I found this disappointing. See one of the page pictures where the sentence isn't finished. It says to "press " and then nothing. The table of water, coffee and sugar ratios doesn't modify the water or the coffee, just the sugar, it's not impressive to make a simple concept overly complicated with a table format saying, in effect, sweeten to taste. I wondered "What am I missing, why all this information...is it just about sugar?" Above it in bold (same picture) is a 4 row list based on water and coffee to use. The + / - symbol merges into a cross on an underscore because there's no white space between the two symbols. I had no idea that it was trying to say + / - 5% water. Really? Plus or Minus 5%? Isn't this false precision? I wish they'd been more precise re basic instructions, maybe put the effort there. I think it would contribute to broader customer satisfaction and recommendations if we could follow and make with confidence. I followed the instructions for 120 ml (4 oz) of water (used a 2 oz cocktail jigger for measuring), using 2 spoons of coffee. As you might imagine, as with a French Press where the grounds stay in contact with the coffee leading to potential overextraction (bitterness), in this case the grounds are poured into your cup so there's even more potential for bitterness. I don't use sugar but that is certainly where the sugar can help mitigate the bitterness. Regarding loose grounds in the coffee cup, the instructions mentioned how to knock them down so you don't drink many, that can interfere with the experience if you get grounds in your mouth, but that's a potential issue you have to accept and work around / solve. I found it easy to avoid: give the coffee time to settle, making sure I've fully stirred in any floaters when first adding the grounds, let the cup settle after a gentle pour, don't guzzle that last bits where the grounds have settled. Conclusion: that's a non-issue now. Yes! However, there will be residual grinds which are naturally oily along the inside wall of the carafe and in that circular crease at the bottom. I don't think one should submerge the carafe due to its electronics (instructions probably say but they are laborious to decipher), so not super convenient when it comes to cleaning and I can see cutting corners in this area for expediency. But definitely a quick rinse once you've poured your cup(s). Read more

How have I lived without this Turkish Coffee Maker? Every morning I have to decide between using my espresso machine, French press, or standard coffee maker depending on what my day looks like and how fast I need my coffee. But everyday the past week and even several afternoons, I have turned to the Turkish Coffee Maker. As it functions without filters, having true Ultra finely ground coffee is a must and I opted to just purchase imported Turkish coffee and, WOW, how have I lived without this coffee maker? The instructions are very difficult to understand, but once I bought legit a Turkish coffee grounds, all you need to know is how much grounds and water need to be added, which for me is 2 scoops of grounds using the including scoop, a touch of sugar, and 500ml of water and then simply hitting the button. Within a minute or two, you're ready to start drinking your coffee, it's literally coffee in under 3 minutes from start to finish. Turkish Coffee is so smooth and produces it's own foam that creates a creaminess that replicates my standard cup of Joe that's usually more milk and sugar, than coffee. But, I don't have to add any cream or more than a half tablespoon of sugar. TLDR; this Turkish Coffee Maker is a game changer and time saver and I no longer have to mask my coffee behind loads of cream and sugar! Read more
