I have purchased this item in the past for my Fisher & Pakel refrigerator, and it worked well. Unfortunately, for this order both filters continued to allow air in the line which caused the dispenser to leak. We finally installed the Fisher & Pakel filter and it is working just fine. I am very pleased to add that the distributer WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY to resolve this issue. They sent me 2 new filters and they WORK JUST FINE. Read more

I couldn’t figure out where to find the specific kind of filter for my refrigerator in my new home. I should’ve known to look on Amazon first because this obscure filter at least obscure to me was available and delivered the next day. Easy to install and my icemaker immediately started working again once the filter was changed. Read more

I bought a two-pack of these filters because the price was less than what I paid for a single filter when I had to buy one from the appliance store previously. But bad news, a couple of days after I installed the first one of these filters, I noticed a big puddle of water below the filter. I had been leaking slowly the entire time from the top of the filter cartridge where it twists into the filter housing/mount. I removed it, dried it, checked to see if the o-rings were kinked, and seeing no damage, re-installed the filter. Within a matter of minutes, I could see a steady drip drip drip down the side of the filter from the top. I tried once again to remove to the filter, inspect it, and re-installed it making sure to twist it as firmly as it would go. Once again, within minutes, there was a steady drip. I removed the filter a third time, dried everything, and applied a little bit of vaseline to the o-rings to see if that would prevent water from leaking out around the o-rings. No such luck. The o-rings on the filter were just defective. So I once again cleaned up the water, and opened the second brand new filter. I checked the o-rings, the mount, and seeing that everything looked normal, I installed the second new filter and twisted it firmly into place. Within 5 minutes, I had a puddle of water about 2-inches in diameter. Once again, I removed the filter, cleaned up everything, and reinstalled it and twisted it firmly. It's still leaking, although more slowly than before. But either way, this is annoying because this is two defective filters right out of the box. Unfortunately, the actual Fisher & Paykel filters are super expensive and are really hard to find (they're made in New Zealand), but at least they don't leak. Don't buy these. They're cheaply made knockoffs made in China. Read more
