This cleaner was recommended by my dermatologist after I began reacting to several face lotions. I began using it along with the DML moisturizer about a year ago. This is my second bottle of cleanser. I have had no adverse reactions at all and my skin looks better than it has for years. The cleanser goes on easily and I generally rinse it off with water (also very easy to do), though I see some people don't rinse it off at all, just wipe it dry. Read more

My skin is very sensitive and I was plagued with acne throughout my life from my teenager years until now as an adult. My face is really oily. I would normally use a face wash, then use over the counter acne medications like benzoyl peroxide. This would dry out my face. I then used Proactiv and the other acne system they were airing commercials for years ago (I can't remember the name, but that made me break out more and I it hurt to touch my face!) On top of that, my face would turn really red and dry due to irritation. My dermatologist recommended this since it is real gentle on the skin. I have been using this cleanser every morning and night for months. I am pleased to say that I have no need for any acne medications. This is also gentle and it lessens the redness that usually occurred when I used over the counter acne medications. My face is normally a little red since it's sensitive. Your results may vary, but why not give it a try as it's really gentle on the skin. Read more

i have textbook definition of combination skin. i suffer from intermittent dryness around my mouth and eyes with cystic acne on my chin and cheeks, which i treat with multiple active products including retinols and BHAs. my dermatologist recommended this to me when i was suffering with severe dryness during winter months and i am now on my second bottle. it is very gentle and does not dry out my skin, but also does not leave a residue-like feeling that some other “hydrating” cleaners leave behind. it does not cause me to break out. my only complaint is that it is not very effective at removing makeup and i usually have to follow up with micellar water or use a pre-cleanse if i’m wearing makeup. it also comes in a huge bottle and lasts me about 3 months with twice a day use!
