Gorgeous! Wearing it over T-shirts or lightweight wool sweaters. This is just right. Not bulky, not heavy, done beautifully. Honestly, have worn it every single day since I received it. I did same with another Irish sweater ordered last year. This one was described as a jacket rather than as a sweater, so perhaps knitted a bit more densely? I wouldn't know. XL perfect fit for a long torso 5'6" 150lbs. Hits mid-hip/bum or a bit lower. It's so comfortable. Order a wool scarf to go with! Read more

I like just about everything about this sweater. My only complaint is that I experienced itchiness when wearing this sweater over bare arms. The color is as described, pattern beautiful, and it is top quality. I purchased this sweater ahead of time for a planned vacation to Northern Canada this fall. I am planning to layer it over cotton blend turtle necks, and under a lined windbreaker. Temperatures during the day are expected to be in the forties and fifties, (and windy) and to dip down to freezing , or even colder, at night. I expect it to work out well for daily sightseeing excursions. I will alternate between this and a down filled vest for the cooler days and evenings. It will go beautifully when paired with a pair of jeans, and also work with my dressier wool blend slacks in gray and navy. I will also pack light weight wool underwear which can also be worn if an additional layer is needed. An additional, lighter weight sweater, and a fleece top will round out my wardrobe, and hopefully all fit in one medium size suitcase. Read more

Excellent outdoor wool cardigan. I think XL would fit a little better, but this fits okay. Looser weave than some Aran Woolen Mills sweaters. I love it, goes with most colors. Hand washable. Informal. Read more

Lovely sweater, will be quite cozy as the weather gets colder. Don't buy it for the pockets--you can fit a tissue but nothing else in there, especially not your hands. I was worried the sleeves would be too short, but they are just right. It's a nice merino and the blue is perfect. It's a bit boxier than I'd like but I guess I could put on a few pounds to fill it out (I'm 5'8" and 125 pounds, bought size Large). UPDATE Dec 2017: After wearing this sweater for awhile, I had to deduct a star because the quality of the yarn is so awful. It is pilled terribly after wearing it indoors only for a few weeks (and not every day). It also sheds fibers so that I have blue dust bunnies EVERYWHERE. Simply awful. I didn't think Merino did this. Very disappointed. Will probably donate it to shelter. Read more
