ARIAT womens Fatbaby Chelsea Western Boot

These shoes are super comfy right out of the box. I sized up but probably didn’t need to, I probably should have gotten them in 6.5 w instead of 7 but they weren’t so big I would return. Plus this gives me space to wear them with big socks. They have thick soles so they stay warm in winter months, however if you are older or prone to tripping with any mobility issues I would avoid them because they take some getting used to. First day I wore them on a two mile walk, another mile walk with the dog, and out with friends for hours on my feet and I didn’t think about my feet at all which was great. SO COMFY!! I have been SEARCHING for a boot like this for the last three fall/winter seasons, and I’ve finally found one that is not only cute but exceptionally comfortable! The moment I slipped my foot in these babies my jaw actually dropped. They were roomie, extremely supportive in the arch (I expected to replace insoles with orthotics but I don’t think I will have to!) and there is so much room in the toes without making the style look weird. After some searching I was able to find them in 6 wide. Width is perfect for me and the toe space makes them really comfortable. I will have to wear a longer sock to avoid soreness at the boot opening. I think they look great with bootcut jeans. Read more

Sizing tip: I always wore 6.5 in the Ariat Fatbaby boots until they introduced the Fatbaby Twin Gore version a couple of years ago. In those, a size 7 is more comfortable. So, I ordered these in size 7 thinking they were Twin Gores because they look the same and are the same price, etc. WRONG! These are Fatbaby Chelseas and they are back to being the same sizing as the other Ariat Fatbabies so a size 6.5 would have been much better. My solution was to add some cushy insoles and keep them but I wish Ariat wouldn't F around with the sizes. It can't be that difficult to be consistent!! This boots has been great! Love it! Yes, running .5 up your my regular size. Keep an eye. It feeling like you are on the clouds. I wearing this 6 hours first day. I was really surprised I didn’t get tired or uncomfortable. This will be one of my favorites. Read more
