The boots appear to be lovely as most Ariat items are, however the listing does not let you choose what calf width you want, only the size. We were sent extra slim, which quite honestly is a bit ridiculous. Now I have to wait 2 weeks to get my refund but needed boots now as my daughter’s zipper broke on her old pair so had to come up with another $400 to buy boots elsewhere. I really wish this listing would be edited to disclose that you are buying extra slim boots so no one else wastes their time and money. We did order new boots directly from the website. As the boots are made of nice leather that will hold up well for lessons and horse shows. I can’t comment on the comfort or value for the money as we don’t have them yet to comment. Read more

The seller should inform the buyers that there is more to the sizing than just "size 9". Please see my photo of the stamp printed inside the boot. Ariat makes these boots in short, medium or tall height, and slim, regular or wide calf. I suspect this seller has only the slim calf inventory and so they are withholding this more detailed sizing information to try and get rid of what they have. These boots are so narrow that even if you have the legs of a stork, you may still not be able to zip them up past your ankle, especially after you add in your britches and socks. I am 5'5 and 110 pounds, with slim legs and feet. I usually wear size 8.5 but I ordered size 9 and they were still much too narrow in both the foot and the calf. The reason I gave 2 stars is that they are clearly an excellent quality product, but impossible to wear. Read more

These boots did arrive slightly big on the calf so I had to reorder a slim calf sadly I cannot make a video since I do not have the boots on me right now but I would definitely recommend buying these and only buy a regular calf fit if you are 100% sure that your calves are not Slim because I thought mine were normal but I guess they're actually Slim. these are an extra small calf and were not advertised as such. only a stick figure wears an 8.5 with an extra small calf. what a waste. they cleverly did not disclose the calf sizing. Read more
