The grip on the back is enough to grip the floor in the bathroom and also the carpet by the back door. The bath rugs also have a nice clean and simple look to them while keeping the functionality on point. Packaging surprised me how small it was but the mats come folded up and individually in poly bags for a small shipping size. I can see this bath mat being great for a rental house or a kids dorm room or anywhere within a high traffic household because it would be easy to wash in the laundry and keep clean.
