Arlopu 8 13 2 Gallon Step Trash Can Stainless Steel Garbage Bin Soft-Close Rubbish Bin with Removable Plastic

We ordered one for recycling and one for garbage. The white is true and bright white. Both of them arrived (at the same time) in good condition and without any damage to the cans. They were each packed in a box with a foam thing over the top and one on the bottom, both that extended past the cans a bit. One of the boxes had a small gauge in a corner but because of how it was packaged the can was not damaged by that. The finish is a nice a bright matte white and both cans were manufactured without any flaws. The step-opening function works well on both as do the soft-close lids. The liner removes to take out garbage or to clean, yet the removable liner is most helpful when taking out recycling. 13 Gallon kitchen sized trash cans fit these. You do have to ever so slightly stretch them on, but the fit is nice and secure. Due to the mouth being slightly wider, these cans fit bags much better than our previous trash can did. (Bags fit looser on our previous can and you could always see the bag peeking out on the sides because of that. Not the case with these.) There is a handle on the back top area for easy lifting if you need to move the whole thing. There is no strong plastic smell, so we didn't have to spend a week or so airing these out before bringing them into the house. On delivery day, one can smell a bit of new product plastic smell at first ONLY when we removed the hard plastic liner, not too strong and not when the plastic liner is in the can. We looked at white kitchen trash cans for a while and were rather hesitant about buying them online, but this was all good. I've always kept my garbage under counters, but decided recently to reclaim those spaces, because I ran out of room for supplies. I've replaced my kitchen and both bathrooms, this one being the kitchen, of course. The stainless steel is so much nicer than plastic, with a flat, matte finish instead of glossy, so it conceals fingerprints and dirt better. It operates smoothly, as pictured, with the top closing slowly and almost silently, being dampened. I also appreciate the inner lining design, which allows plastic trash bags to be used, and completely covered from the outside, for a clean, classy look. However, I found it somewhat difficult to seat the flap edges of the trash bag, since they are naturally pushed out, as the inner can is lowered back into the outer can. Fortunately, I found a quick and easy fix by just taping each corner of the bag to the inner liner each time I change it (pictured). Mine also came with a much smaller "clone" packed inside, which was an unexpected surprise. The size is 1.2 gallons, and it looks/operates just like the big one. I didn't really need it, but will just replace the cheap plastic one I have in my master bedroom. Overall, I'm very pleased, as I got exactly what I wanted in this container. Read more

Beautiful color! And nice smooth hydrolic closing! It’s a great product. Easy to put the top of the garbage bag around the top, easiest and prettiest trash can ever :) narrow enough to fit in a tight spot too. Only change I’d want is some kind of rubber mat or similar to keep the bin from slipping back when operating the foot pedal. Read more

The media could not be loaded. I'm very pleased with this trash can for our kitchen. It was just delivered, and I was able to use it right out of the box. There's no assembly required...just put a 13-gallon trash bag in it and you're good to go. There's a black plastic bin inside the metal can, that you lift out and fold your trash bag over to top edge. The bag stays in place after placing it back in the metal can. The foot pedal works perfectly, and the lid is self closing. It makes a slight noise when it fully shuts, but nothing obnoxious. I had to move the trash can away from the cabinets about a half inch so the lid mechanism had room to do its thing. This trash can feels like a much better quality item than the other trash cans I tried out in our local stores. I would buy it again. Read more
