I got this Arm & Hammer dog oral care / tartar control spray to help with my pup’s dental hygiene (because he absolutely refuses a toothbrush). After a few weeks of use, here’s what I found: Very easy to apply — Just a few sprays into the mouth or onto the teeth, no fussing with paste or scrub. For a dog that fights me during brushing, this is a huge win. Noticeable fresh breath — Within minutes of application, my dog’s breath smells much better. It’s not minty strong, but pleasantly clean. Supports maintenance — When used regularly (especially between brushings), I see less surface buildup and less yellowing on front teeth. Gentle formula — The product advertises baking soda base and natural ingredients, and I’ve had no issues with gum irritation or sensitivity on my dog. Compact and portable — The spray bottle is easy to store, carry, or keep in a grooming kit. Cons: Short-lived effect — The fresh breath doesn’t last all day; after a few hours, the odor creeps back (especially after eating). Spray distribution — Sometimes the spray is a bit wide or hard to aim, so some liquid lands on gums or cheeks, not just the teeth. Dependence on consistency — You have to use it regularly for visible benefits; skipping days makes buildup reappear. Not a stand-alone solution — It doesn’t replace brushing or professional cleanings; it’s a helpful supplement. The Arm & Hammer dog oral care / tartar control spray is a helpful, low-resistance tool for dog owners. It’s especially useful if your dog resists brushing like mine did. While it won’t replace brushing or veterinary dental care, it does a good job improving breath and reducing surface buildup when used consistently. Read more
I’m so glad I found these because my dog’s breath is horrible, but since I started using this his breath is a whole lot better.. I even see that it’s actually removing some of the tater from off his teeth. For the price of it.. it was worth it and it really works well. It’s a pretty good size and the ingredients are safe for your dog to use.. it’s perfect for me because my dog doesn’t let me brush his teeth so this spray is what I needed! Read more
We have 2 dogs. Our oldest has never had bad breath and he is 5 yrs old. We adopted a new pup 1 year ago, and since birth that cutie has had killer bad breath! I mean… dry heave bad. 🤢🤮 We have no idea why his breath is so bad compared to our older dog, but we kind of thought there was nothing we could do about his stench since he was born that way. Then I saw this and the Oxyfresh Water Additive on Amazon and we got and used both to cover our bases. In one use of both, the bad breath is GONE!!!!! This spray smells minty fresh, and I like the smell, while the other has not scent at all. This bottle sprays easily and well, but leaked a tiny bit in the bag they put it in for shipping. Didn’t leak enough to be a big deal though. The dogs are a little weirded out when I spray them in the mouth right now though, but I am hoping they chill and that gets easier with time. I only gave 4 stars because the dogs don’t love it yet, but as far as effectiveness, it gets 5 stars. So, if your dog clears couches with his kisses and triggers your gag reflex, get this and the Oxyfresh water additive! We will not go without them now. It only took one day to work too! Read more
This Arm & Hammer oral care spray has been such a convenient addition to my dog’s routine. My pup isn’t a fan of brushing, so this spray is a lifesaver! It’s super easy to use — just a quick spritz, and it immediately helps freshen his breath. I’ve noticed a big difference after using it consistently for a couple of weeks. The scent is mild and pleasant (not too strong or artificial), and my dog doesn’t seem to mind it at all. I also love that it’s made with baking soda, so I know it’s helping with plaque and tartar too. If your dog hates having their teeth brushed, this is a great alternative. It keeps their mouth cleaner and breath fresher with minimal effort — highly recommend! Read more
PROS: 1. We like the smell and flavor of this dog breath spray. It's minty, and it does help take the edge off of the bad breath our German Shepherd has. 2. We use a lot of Arm and Hammer products in our household and usually love them. CONS: 1. The effects aren't long-lasting. We sometimes have to use this several times each hour. 2. Have you ever tried to spray something into a dog's mouth? It's very difficult (and ineffective) at first. Our GS is very smart so he got the hang of it after a few weeks, but we still find it easier to open and pour into his water bowl. Read more
This stuff is a lifesaver for my dog’s hot stinky breath. I got his teeth cleaned the other day. I’ve bought Dental bones that are bacon flavored. I’ve got him all sorts of things to help with his dental needs. I have him a toothbrush with toothpaste, but nothing seems to make his breath fresh. My doodle is the kind that will get into your face and he will just breathe his very hot stinky breath. So I’ve tried everything. I found this product and it really works. I do a few sprays around his mouth and then his breath is fresh. So I love it!! One bottle will probably last a while seeing that it just mists out of the bottle. So not too much is needed with each day. Breath Problem Solved! Read more
