Make no mistake: when you have a shaved head, you need something to cover it up in the sun. That's why I got these. Because I have a big head, I wanted bigger hankies, because they're easier to tie on and get full coverage with. That's why I got the jumbo size. When it comes to hankies, I'll tell you from extensive experience that you're better off with slightly higher quality and all-cotton construction. The cotton is softer on your skin, doesn't warp or shrink in the wash, and seems to hold its colors better than cotton-poly blends. These hankies are HUGE compared to the 22-inch ones you're probably used to using. You wouldn't think that extra five inches would make such a difference, but it really really does. It's easier to tie it around your head when you're working with that much extra fabric. Think of it this way: if you're folding your normal-sized (22 inch square) hankie into a big triangle, you're getting (according to the pythagorean theorem) about 31 inches of play to work with in tying the hankie around your head. You wouldn't think it, but your head can be pretty big around! Mine is 23-24 inches around, roughly speaking. 31 inches is not that much to work with when trying to tie a knot behind your own head for a snug fit. Now, a 27-inch bandana, on the other hand, gives you 38 inches to work with. That 7 inches of additional length makes a big difference. In short, if you like bandanas to wrap around your head to protect it from the sun, this is the best option. Not the cheapest, but definitely worth it. Huge at 27" square! Good for a hanky, great for a doo rag. Yes as many reviewers have noted it is only 'printed' on one side but it bleeds through very effectively,the back side looks very good as well. Nice bright coloring, has not faded in direct sunlight use and the first few washings. Speaking of same, softened right up after a few washings so has become quite comfortable. I think there might be multiple suppliers for these. Mine came from 'Army Universe' so they are the recommended source at this point. Sometimes you need a decent bandana in a larger size, and this one measures 27 inches on a square (roughly 69 cm). It doesn't sound much larger than prepackaged bandanas which usually run about 21 inches x 21, up to about 24 by 24, but that little bit extra matters. It is all-cotton and made in China, sewn all around (Some manufacturers don't? Pity!). When soaked or washed, it will bleed a little (I'm kind of counting on the color softening a bit), and may shrink a little, but it is good quality. The red-on-black adds a little drama: the black background says "Bad guy" but the red design says "Bad guy with a heart," which is perfect for me. However, the design does not show through equally on both sides. A reasonable price only if this is what you are looking for; smaller, more conventional bandanas are in a more price-competitive market and run a good deal cheaper, especially in multi-packs. In this reviewers opinion, no one: be he man, dog, horse or Harley rider, should have to suffer a bandana made of polyester; it would be like using a microfiber bath towel. Read more

I had the exact same bandana bought from the same company who makes these, but lost it. I liked the color on this bandana and particularly became my favorite one, I use these to work out in the gym or when i run, clearly printed on one side and barely faded on the other. But i don't think you'll notice the difference. The quality is very great, not too stiff and very water absorbent on my end. Would recommend. Read more
